Superb hospitality. Tonkatsu is good. Nice environment.
I used to go to the Vancouver location, but parking there has become pretty difficult, and it doesn’t seem to be as busy as it used to be. If you don’t want to wait too long, I’d definitely consider this location instead.

We all had a wonderful experience during our first visit to Saku. The chicken katsu curry was better than any of us expected and the service was incredible. We unfortunately didn't get the name of our server or the other young woman who helped clear our table, but they were both incredibly friendly and fun. We will be back!

Saku Richmond offers a consistently high-quality dining experience with excellent service. Guests are warmly welcomed and staff are friendly and quick with orders. The restaurant features a beautifully designed space, though it is on the more expensive side for dinner options.
Dishes like the katsu nabe are served piping hot with the katsu remaining crispy, and the flavors of the nabe are very good. The cheese katsu is also highly praised, especially when paired with unlimited rice and salad with amazing house dressing. Dinner options include unlimited refills on side dishes, such as thin-cut cabbage and perfectly cooked rice. While miso soup and curry may be less remarkable, the overall experience is one of guaranteed quality and prompt service.
