The atmosphere is very Japanese. The servers are super friendly. The food is so fresh, one of the best Japanese sushi places in the lower mainland. Lots if GF options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeWheelchair accessibility: Easy to access location.

Well this was not a fun experience...no food here if you are celiac or gluten intolerant, service was not helpful and rather rude when I asked for real crab in my California roll, and apparently they have no real crab...so over to one up the road they have a gluten free menu for sushi.

It was a very pleasant place, the food was good. I made a reservation for when the restaurant was just opening, not busy. A bit hard to find parking, however. Overall, it was a nice place to meet for a lunch gathering, easy place to hear others and talk without having to raise one's voice, as the volume level of background noise is pretty low, so it's easy to hear your friends, even if there is a quieter speaker in your group. The décor has nicely appointed Japanese features here and there. It's a nice place for a casual lunch. Bento boxes are a good choice for a sampling of various items.

For the price, the food is average only and to be honest, nothing special. Nigiri wise- I think Ajisai has a better price point & fresher sashimi. The takoyaki we had was also frozen on the inside, which was quite shocking…

This place is clearly an authentic Japanese place, which is rare anywhere else in Metro Vancouver except Steveston. The architecture is very Japanese, like the sushi places I went to in Japan. The ingredients are authentic and fresh. The presentation makes all the food look very good, because it is. The only two issues are that the portions are very small and expensive (just like in Japan) and service was quite slow, even though we came at last call before 2PM. All the food is excellent.

Super surprised! High end sushi in Steveston! Food was great (fresh ingredients), service was great, location was great! Parking was a bit of a hassle as I had to circle the block a few times. I will definitely be back. Altogether a terrific experience.

Sashimi was very fresh, great presentation. Service was great, 5 stars. However, I ordered the Kaisen Don & Noodle. The “uni, negitoro, mentaiko, ikura and seaweed on sushi rice” had VERY little uni, maybe 1/4 or 1/5 of a piece of uni shredded into tiny pieces in the bowl and contained no seaweed. There was way too much salty orange mentaiko paste and large scoops of imitation crab, was this to compensate for lack of uni and seaweed? I’ve ordered this a few times before and it had actual pieces of uni and seaweed. Maybe inflation is affecting the restaurant or quality is going downhill… for $30 it is not worth it anymore.
