I heard this place might be going out of business, so I came back to see how they were doing. After reading the owner’s response to another customer about not letting take-out guests use the washroom because “dine-in customers order more and even tip,” I felt I had to share my own experience.
About a year ago, I came in with a friend and placed a take-out order of 7–8 dessert items. We even tipped 15%. When my friend politely asked if she could use the washroom, the older lady behind the counter rudely yelled at her. So even if you order plenty, tip, and ask nicely, this is still how she treats customers.
We also tried dining in once, and honestly, it wasn’t great either. I genuinely hope after closing, the lady can take some time to work on her temper.

So sad this is closing. Their tofucotta was best
Whao, what's happening!? What's with all the bad reviews? That being said, everyone is entitled to their opinions though. I'm just a bit confused. I'm here to leave mine before they closed down and to wish them well for the future.
I, personally, never have a bad experience here. I don't come here that often just because I'm not a tofu dessert kind of person. But this place actually have me craving for tofu dessert from time to time. Especially the tofu + soy milk + toppings. I hope I find time to go in one last time before they're closed forever (on September 28, was it?).
The services are not always super friendly but I also didn't feel unwelcomed here. It's just typical of Richmond to me. I agreed it's hard to share dessert here sometime like other reviewers said. But I can understand the business side of it a little bit, it's not easy making profit sometime. Depends on your experience with that, mine wasn't that bad we just jokes about it and move on.
P.S: They have always charge for extra spoon though (at least as long as I've been coming here)
Anyways I hope those who haven't given them a try, do it once before they closed down.
Cheers,

Been coming here for years, since they first opened in the night market. The best service and tofu pudding-- truly one of my go to places for a comforting dessert. The owners have never been anything but warm and welcoming, can only imagine that the people writing bad reviews must lack some kind of self awareness. Thank you for everything, iTofu!
We had to pay for extra spoon when we want to share the dessert. They had really poor service. We definitely not coming back for dessert.

Very disappointed. I ordered the tofu pudding here and the portion was extremely small for the high price.... Totally not worth the money. Won’t come back again! Not tasty at all

It’s unfortunate, because the desserts here actually taste decent. I first tried them when a friend brought some over. I had planned to visit in person, but after reading the reviews, I’ve decided on a hard pass. Many customers consistently describe staff disrespect, overcharging for basic supplies like utensils, and, most telling of all, is the owner’s responses to criticism. The content of their responses shows how they defend their inflexibility, and is overly pretentious about their sense of self-righteousness. They showcase how they don’t prioritize respect or growth. Their chronic pattern of dismissive language and customer mistreatment makes it clear that feedback is not reflected upon, nor is the customer experience truly valued.
In a culture where respect is so deeply important, this is a dealbreaker for me. As customers, we have power in where we choose to spend our money, and I’d much rather support a business that fosters kindness and adds social value. Dining out should never mean opening the door to abuse or attitude.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Owner was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Too expensive too. You’re welcome to go in if you enjoy being side eyed.

Never coming again. This is the worse experience i’ve had in Vancouver. Just don’t open the store if you don’t want to. Giving bad attitude to customers is really so ridiculous. Come if you wanna get side eyed and mumbled. The food is so mid and there will always be a better choice than this one. I really wished I can give an review of negative stars.

I ordered Cold Tofu Pudding with Taro Balls, Cane Sugar and Coconut Milk. It was delicious and it's similar to a famous tofu specialty shop in Toronto. Price is steep.
