Food and service were excellent. However we were told it was 3 hours complimentary parking. Although they gave us a QR code to use at the parking gate it did not work and we had to pay $67 for parking to get out!

The Globe has always been amazing. The food is outstanding with amazing flavours and selection. We usually start with the oysters and then our favorite is the Sablefish and Ribeye. The real difference is always Melissa, our Server for several years. She is always the reason we look forward to the visit.

Food was very good but served on plastic plates that keeps slipping all over the place when trying to cut plate contents. Service provided by the waitress was poor. No drinks were offered other that the water that is automatically served when sitting down. No refills were offered on the water either.

Disappointed with New Year's brunch. We had a 12pm seating and everything looked exceptional. As we were near the end of the service it was quieting down. It was evident that no fresh food would be brought out for consumption. The salmon benedict was not refreshed in the entire time we were there. The salmon was curling from the heat lamps and the eggs were very hard. Roast beef on a platter was drying out, again from the heat lamp. Fingerling potatoes were more cool than hot as was the gravy. Seafood station was very good. Great shrimp and mussels. Crab was exceptional. Overwhelmed food was tasty but as mentioned cooler than it shoukd be. For the price paid I expected a higher standard. Big props to the one chef who made me a fresh eggs benedict when I asked and pointed out the poor quality of the salmon benedict that had been sitting for a long while. Probably won't go back. Better to try another place for the money spent.

The Globe restaurant is located in a beautiful setting with large windows overlooking the tarmac and runway at YVR. We were there for the Christmas Day brunch. The seafood and dessert portions of the buffet were excellent, but the hot food section was sadly lacking in quality and creativity. For the price of this buffet I would expect much better. Some of the hot food dishes were cold, there was no white turkey meat when we went through (twice), there were no mashed potatoes and no glaze for the ham. Creativity in the food taste was lacking. The Christmas dinner we cooked at home the next day was exponentially much better. Very disappointed given the very high cost of this.

This is our 3rd time enjoying Fairmont YVR Hotel's "Christmas Luncheon Buffet" and each time we thoroughly were pleased the buffet spread, the service, the ambiance...............it was all perfect ! Thank you to all workers who made this experience a lovely one for us. Diners, if you haven't already gone to one of these buffets, do yourself a favour and do it in 2026. Guaranteed you will have a great time.

We found the ambience good in the restaurant and lovely in the lobby. We found the service superb and welcoming but we found the food at best acceptable with an unacceptable aspects, such as cold eggs benny, even though the sauce was excellent. The food was at most adequate to the price charged. No roast beef was a big disappointment. What was entirely unacceptable was the cost of parking, which was a few cents shy of $68.00. We will not return next Christmas.

I had the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon tea on Friday. It was the holiday menu, which had items I could not eat. I told them ahead and they prepared other items for me. I was grateful for them to offer those changes. Sadly they did not tell me what they had replaced the items with. So I had to take a guess at what I was eating! I loved the dessert table so I could make the selection of what I would like! I will come again!
