“Shocked by all the blatantly racist reviews for this place.Very reasonably priced teas and adorable desserts. We got the panna cotta rabbit and it was delicious, not too sweet. It looks like they do some custom cake orders too, may get one for my next bday.“
“Bon jour, bon appetite, Bon macarons…I have been to a lot of the macaron places in the lower mainland plus ordered and tried from a lot of the private home based pastry chefs. At the end of the day, I still bring myself back to Bon’s for macarons. Are they the best in taste, quality and price? To be fair, they aren’t the best in each particular category but are one of the better ones in the overall categories and consistent. Here were what I ordered this time around.1. 30pcs assorted box.Overall, the day is always a bit sweeter when bringing home a box of Bon’s macarons to enjoy. I always appreciate the friendly and more personal services especially when the owner is around, giving it that beautiful atmosphere which it does make most things sweeter. Plus most times I am there, they give a free sample on a new flavour. Give them a visit next time you are in Granville Island! BON appetite!!“
“I visited after quite a while to get croissant cube, pain au chocolate and our fav sunny matcha.Cube n pain au chocolate were excellent, like the best we have had in at least half a Year. The 2 cakes , they slipped out of my hand and fell on the ground. When I got home, they tumbled. I managed to save them. It's because of the flimsy box. I know things are expensive but you either add another piece of cardboard to make it sturdier or remind customer to use a bag.“
“Got a set of six macarons from the shop itself, not the public market counter. Each one was INCREDIBLE and actually tasted like what they said, as compared to some other macarons which just taste like sugar. My only complaint is that the selection of macarons at the shop was more limited than the selection at the public market.“
“Very nice place to get some fresh pastries! I got here in the morning, and I can smell the butter from all the baking. I got the ham and cheese croissant and the peach galette. Both are very buttery and have lots of flavour. I also got a box of chocolate because it looks very beautiful. My problem is with the chocolate. Some of them had muted flavours, so I can't taste anything but cheesecake (for the cheesecake ones).Overall, I would come back here for the pastries as they are made fresh and pack a lot of flavour. I would not get the chocolates, but they do look very beautiful.“
“European Bakery in Vancouver BC Since 2008 We made a special trip to this bakery in Vancouver for their chimney cake. I fell in love with this treat the first time I had them in Ontario. It was love at first bite. I was hoping to find a bakery in this part of Canada to have the same experience. We arrived a little before 11:00a (time stated in Yelp). Unfortunately, the business hours on Yelp was incorrect! They actually opened at noon! The shop opened promptly at noon but the chimney cakes took another 30 mins to bake. We were on a time crunch since we still had to drive back to Seattle to fly back home. The bakery was located in a tiny courtyard and there was a community area with outdoor seating available. He finished packaging the chimney cakes. Only four could be made every 30-mins so I purchased all 4 that he made. They only made sweet kind, no savory. While it wasn't as nice as the one I had in Ontario it is still good. Kürtőskalács (chimney cake) is a spit cake specific to Hungarians from Transylvania.Review #3174“
“Yesterday, I purchased a delightful box of macarons for my girlfriend, and she absolutely adored them! This place is truly remarkable for gift-giving; they offer exquisite cakes and excellent coffee. The ambiance of the store is charming, reminiscent of a cozy Parisian café. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing thoughtful suggestions for my girlfriend's gift.“
“The selection here is really extensive for a coffee shop: sandwiches and crepes all made to order, soups, various sweet and savoury baked goods, plus coffee and tea and more drinks. Nondairy milks are available but it looks like none of the food is vegan. There are plenty of vegetarian choices though. Very hard to make a choice since everything looked delightful.I had a tomato and bocconcini sandwich, a hazelnut mousse dacquoise w/ pear compote (the pastry of the month), and a lavender Italian soda. Was going to order a crepe but the barista told me it would be 15-20 minutes when I was hoping for a quicker lunch, but maybe next time. I really liked my sandwich, anyway. I had it on the multiseed bread which was hearty and fresh. I loved biting into the balls of fresh bocconini too. Sometimes sandwiches with pesto come out too oily for me, but that was not the case here. The pastry was also fantastic! I loved the contrasting textures and richness of the hazelnut cream, and the tart, juicy chunks of pear inside were a nice little surprise when I had been expecting something more jelly-like. The soda was good too. It was hard to mix the lavender syrup in, but once it got mixed it was very floral, and they didn't use too much syrup to make the drink too sweet. They have the clean, elegant Parisian aesthetic down inside, but I most enjoy sitting on the patio which is covered and elevated away from the sidewalk level, so you can relax away from the weather and crowds. Very welcoming and thorough service from the staff member in training who took my order. Drinks are called out from the bar, but food is brought to your table when you eat in. FYI they have mugs for coffee and plates and silverware, but my cold drink came in a plastic cup. Not sure if it was just a mistake or if they just don’t make the cold drinks in glasses, but I will watch out for that next time.“
“This is one of the cutest pastry stores that I've ever been to. Huge selection of Instagram-worthy desserts such as the Tira-meow-su or the Ramen Bowl for a slight premium ($9 each). They also offer ice cream and regular cakes at normal prices.I'd recommend coming here every few months or buying some fun looking desserts for your friends/family.“
