The price is very spicy, but the wonton noodles are delicious. The food is average.

Food portions could be bigger for the price you pay. On the other hand it’s nice to have smaller portions so that you can try more. If only it was cheaper. Service is a-ok and taste was great!

Their wonton soup noodle is great. Only thing not as good is that it's smaller in proportion so I'd order two bowls.

Mak's Kee is a restaurant that I don't know the most about. The so-called manager who wears glasses is not polite at all. Two people come in to eat. There are so many tables, but they are forced to sit at the smallest table for two. It's obviously a restaurant. Zhang is the workbench. Because I don’t want to work at other tables, I put people there to sit there. There are obviously other bigger tables, but they actually told me that you can wait as long as you want, and I can’t sit at the workstation. I simply don’t know what to say. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, I won’t eat it in the future, I wish him a speedy recovery
I recommend the wonton soup, very good

Heavy MSG, small portions, high prices, fast food style service, rude attitude towards customers, but they require a tip of more than 12%, which is simply unreasonable based on the attitude of the waiters and customers, it is not recommended to go there again

Solid noodle spot reminiscent of Hong Kong (though I’m not sure if it’s the same chain as Mak’s). It’s a local favourite in Richmond and can get quite busy, the interior is a bit dated, but don’t let that fool you as you’re there for the noodles.
The pricing is a bit expensive, you get around 3 dumplings or 3-4 wontons in the small soup bowl.
It’s also cash only, some come prepared.
The beef noodles are my go to favourite, again, pricey for the portion, but tasty.

My absolute favorite dish at this restaurant is the half tendon, half meat wonton noodles. The texture of both the tendon and meat is incredibly tender, which makes each bite a delight, and the broth is wonderfully fresh and sweet—truly delicious. Although the wontons aren’t very big, each one contains a whole shrimp, which adds to the overall enjoyment of the dish.
I also really love their poached pig liver; it’s hands down the most tender I’ve ever tasted. The combination of flavors and textures in these dishes is outstanding. However, I must admit that both the service and the prices here are a bit off-putting, as they aren't very customer-friendly. Still, for the sake of the amazing food, I’m more than willing to overlook those drawbacks and keep coming back for another satisfying meal.

It's okay. Small portions and more expensive than similar restaurants. Still tasty

I came with my grandmother and we ordered more than the average for two people. The beef brisket and tendon were my favourite. It had a very savoury taste, not being too salty and it came apart easily. The shrimp wontons weren’t my favourite, but they were small and tender. My grandmother ordered rice noodles with pork and mushroom wontons and that tasted much better in my opinion. The stewed pork hock was quite tender and held a gelatinous texture. The dace fish balls were soft and flavourful especially when you dip it in the soy sauce green onion and oil dish. The beef liver was alright, I’m usually not a fan of the metallic taste, but my grandmother said it was really good. The claypot rice were decent, nothing stood out and probably wouldn’t order it again. However, the rice on one claypot was more scorched and crunchy than the other. The dishes are more for individual portion sizes, which is great for trying more foods and not taking so much home.
It is a CASH only restaurant and quite the hole in the wall that’s been around for ages. The service is great if you know Cantonese, otherwise be expected to wait awhile. The food came out quickly, and steamy hot. The servers answered quickly to orders in Chinese but forgot my English requests of iced water. We went around closing time, so it was relatively busy and it quickly died down when it was last call. I will definitely come back knowing when I crave some beef brisket and tendon noodle soup.

The taste and portion are on par with the restaurants in Hong Kong, which can relieve your nostalgia for Hong Kong-style food. Remember, they only accept cash. Even though the difference is a few dollars, I still have to walk 10 minutes to get money nearby. I’m a bit speechless =_=
