We enjoyed some traditional wonton noodles for dinner. The beef brisket noodles are good too. We also had the congee that was soft and tasty. Everything is served in the traditional smaller bowls, but it should still be enough per person. Note that this is cash only.

Parking can get quite busy because there are a number of restaurants in this mall. There are a few spots if you proceed through the alley way on the left of the restaurant.

It’s very good quality but super expensive and small portion; est $20/dish and it won’t be enough for a normal size men’s stomach. I appreciate the traditional guangzhou food but not at this price:) feels like getting rip off in Vancouver as a tourist. I don’t know bc of insane price inflation or just this restaurant. Sorry if I am being too harsh if this were every Vancouver restaurant’s price.

Max Noodle in Richmond is easily the most authentic wonton noodle house in Canada, maybe even North America. The wontons are solid five stars, perfectly made and full of flavour. The noodles have that true springy bite that is hard to find outside Hong Kong. The beef brisket is a touch underwhelming, good but missing something, so closer to four stars. Service is often called cold but I found it warm among regulars, more like a neighbourhood club than a restaurant.

Vancouver Magazine says it’s a top casual Chinese spot in Vancouver. I would say absolutely not very good.

The hype is unreal. I guess it tastes like some of the stuff in hk, but it's diffeent type of wonton noodle. The noodles are very thin thus missing thr bounce you'd get from normal wonton noodles. If you like it thin then I guess this is the one for you. The beef brisket and tendon were pretty good, but a little salty. Also got some dumplings, and while they were good, not so much different then the frozen ones I can buy at the mom and pop stores. The congee I felt was a bit on the watery side and less rice. It was a bit bland.. But the pork liver had a good snap to it. The waitresses were really pushy.. But I guess it contributes to the Hong Kong ing feel! Overall this place is ok, its quite expensive. Not sure if I'd make it a point to come back.

Very overpriced for what it is. Would not recommend

Tasty, but the the portions are ridiculously small...not worth $16

The wonton noodles is very good, soup is tasty and noodle texture is great which keep perfectly original Guandong style. But notice that the original Guandong style wonton noodle portion is small, so it might no enough for men.

Decent Beef Brisket & Wonton Noodle Soup. Portions were a bit small though.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant and had a fantastic experience! We ordered the chicken and black mushroom congee and beef brisket wonton noodle soup. Both were delicious and packed with flavour - I highly recommend! We also tried the chicken wings and pork taro spring rolls on the side. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy, yet juicy on the inside, and the spring rolls were my favourite!

The service was exceptional as well. Every staff member was incredibly welcoming, polite and attentive. I'd be super excited if they opened up a location in Toronto :)

Checked out Max Noodle House to fulfill my girlfriend’s congee craving and it was delicious! Free parking in the area as long as you register your plate on the designated iPad within the restaurant.

I have heard this spot has been a classic for regulars over the last twenty to thirty years and it certainly exudes a great homey vibe.

The chicken congee has a soft, warming, and velvety texture with a balanced taste. We also had the beef brisket noodle soup with shrimp wontons - the brisket was so tender, and the noodle soup was packed with a tasty umami flavour. Highly recommend these two dishes. On the side we also got Chinese donut fried fresh in house as well as chicken wings and taro+pork spring rolls. Out of these, I really enjoyed the spring rolls.

Service was great and the staff were very attendant. Definitely recommend giving this place a try as it might just become your go to congee/wonton spot like it is for so many locals!

The congee base is nice and smooth. The noodle is a bit soft and lukewarm only. Beef brisket and beef tendon is not soft enough. Well, don't think it has anything to do with the Mak noodle franchise in HK. For the money they charged, I would expect better food.
