When you’re waiting for your order, remember to keep an eye on the cashier/server. He will try to be sneaky and take a piece from your order and eat it with his hand.

Walked in to an empty restaurant today and was really impressed with the Shanghai buns and fried noodle dish. The famous Xiao long bao had plenty of soup in them which tells you they're authentic. They're best eaten with a spoon. Just nibble enough to let the hot soup out into the spoon then slurp it up. The meat inside was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and tasty. The panfried buns were just as juicy. Didn't expect that but I was pleasantly surprised. Also tried their Shanghai Fried Noodles with chicken. Delicious! And the price was great too. By the time we were done, more people came in and tables filled up. Felt bessed finding this place. It's a keeper for sure.Vegetarian options: Lots of noodles with and without soup.Parking: Have to park in reserved spots for unit 103.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor entry.

Should worth 3.5Friendly servers, a nice place in this area to get decent Chinese food without walking to the mall area; but many dishes added with 老干媽 (one spicy source), I personally prefer to eat original favour of ingredients.

Nice cozy shanghai style dumpling house! They use organic meat apparently which is different! Their shanghai style-fried noodles are delicious! Really like the texture and taste of it. One thing I will note about those is that there's not enough noodle! It's like 60% noodle, 40% veggies. Should be at least like 75-80%!The Pork Soup Buns are pretty good. How are they compared to shanghai river? I would say Shanghai river is still better but these are pretty close! The pan fried dumplings are good, but small. Could be larger! The curry beef on rice is good, same with Garlic broccoli. The pan fried soup pork buns are really good! Must try!UPDATE: 2023-11-09

Nice clean hidden restaurant. The food is simple and standard. Good for a quick meal if you're in the area but nothing you'd go out of your way for (compared to the many other options in Richmond). I ordered the dandan noodles, wontons in spicy peanut and chili sauce, and the Shanghai style pan fried buns. I saw other reviews stating the dandan noodles were soupy but seems like they've modified it now. Note that it is vegetarian so there was no minced pork inside like dandan noodles you might order elsewhere. The wontons were odd, did not taste at all like 紅油抄手 and only like peanut butter. Not bad but not what I expected, almost as if they used the same sauce as the dandan noodles. The pan fried dumplings were nice and crispy and filled with soup. I would return for the authentic Chinese food as it is limited in the Ironwood area.

I don't want to give this place a 2/5 but I think 3/5 might be a bit generous TBH.If I could, I'd give it a 2.5/5 stars. This was not a great restaurant overall in my honest opinion. I've seen others hype this place up and I was so excited to go as their main thing is dumplings and I love dumplings... however. Right from the jump the young man (early 20s I believe) that was at the front counter was not welcoming whatsoever. Had we not spoken first I imagine he wouldn't have even acknowledged our existence. Here, you have to go to the front and order, then sit down. That said, we gave our order and while it didn't take too long to come out, he forgot that we had ordered drinks and we had to remind him.Not a huge deal.. however, this guy was kind of a mute.. he had nothing to say the whole time.. just dropped off our stuff and then went on his way. The table-side manner was just not something that wasn't on his radar. My wife seemed to think that his heart just wasn't in it. Who knows what it is.. but it just didn't give a friendly vibe. The food... we had dumplings and bow buns... and we were both underwhelmed. My wife has made better and most of the store bought ones I've had were probably better too. Overall it was just so so. That said, I highly doubt we'll ever be going back. If you're looking for a good dumpling place -- try somewhere else, because if you don't end up being underwhelmed by the food -- I'm willing to bet you'll be disappointed by the service and vibe.

Nice place to have a quick bite of some delicious dumplings. Surprisingly large restaurant for the location. Ample parking and cool a/c. Hiding in plain sight - never even noticed it before. Will need to return and try more dishes
