It was easy to make a reservation on OpenTable. Meiten was a little hard to find, as it's hidden behind another restaurant. I had to change our reservation time to 830pm. The restaurant called to advise that last call is at 900pm. That was good to know. We ordered shortly after we were seated. The AYCE menu is somewhat limited. You can pay.$20 more pp for the premium menu. Everything came out very fast and the cooked food was hot. The spicy tuna and salmon sashimi could've been spicier. The hokkigai was sliced in half on the first order but was fine on the second round. Tuna and salmon sashimi were good. Red stuns was a firmer texture. The tonkatsus and tempuras were delicious! Agedashi tofu was good, with 5 pieces. Just be cognizant of the number of pieces per order! A little inconsistent, varying between 2-4 pieces depending on the item. The staff was always moving, clearing plates, refilling drinks, and taking orders. A good restaurant for AYCE sushi!!

Not happy at all. We have a reservation on Father's Day. And when we went all the way from Burnaby, we waited and waited and waited, then I ask a lady in Black about our reservation and showd her our confirmation number, she said we didn't have a reservation for that time. But I said how come I have confirmation nunber then. And sh didn't even bother to solve the problem and make room for us.. we never go to this place again, not a single employee was nice and friendly and helpful at all

Good value and delicious food. The variety was pretty good but just no miso soup, which is strange for a Japanese restaurant to not have. Overall a good option for an AYCE. Will go again.

Very disorganized and slow service. I made a reservation for lunch and they didn't have us in their books despite book online over a week in advance. Secondly the restaurant struggled to get food out promptly for us. There were a number of cooks in the back. We had to wait about 30minutes for a bowl of udon to come out.

Wouldn't recommend coming here. Service is poor, rude and little to nothing. Food is mediocre. Would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Service is too SLOW ! We booked a table for 1pm and it wasn't ready at 1:10pm. After sitting at the table, it took a long time for them to come to the table to get our order. 1.5h after ordering, we still didn't review one of the dishes we ordered. Another table also has ordered a few things and they had the same problem. Honestly, it's the worst restaurant I've been to in years. They also brought the bill to the table before receiving the last order.

Slow service and we were asked to take last order after 1 hour of being seated. In the past, we were allow 2 hours for dining... hopefully it was an off day for them.

The food was okay.We had four people and the table beside us were so close,we don't have much room.We can hear everything they talk. The table on the other side was empty, and they didn't gave us the empty table. The best food we order was the chicken katsu don and sashimi was fresh.

Discovered this hidden gem unexpectedly. The food was delicious, the tea extra hot, and the service was friendly and quick.

Lunch special chirashi don and miso soup for $23, great portion for the price. There was even a piece of uni in there, other restaurants would probably be $30+ for the same meal

The most disgusting beef sukiyaki I have ever had. The soup is tasteless and has no flavour. Also, the beef they gave me was also nasty. The beef tasted like it’s been in the fridge for twenty years. The total amount for this disgusting sukiyaki was 55 dollars after tax. I will never come back to this disgusting restaurant.

Everything was pretty average until I got my steak don. The advertised photo is misleading. If you look at all the previous reviews that have the steak don, it is drastically different in comparison to what I had received. I sat at the bar and watched the chef make my bowl. I saw that he had done the egg and later had to redo it which was him pouring it out and adding it back on top which resulted in super soggy rice and poor presentation. What was an average dinner experience turned into a lousy dinner experience.

I don’t know why so many people gave excellent comments about this restaurant. The food we had is mostly average and the portion is small. Overall is overpriced and overrated! The staff recommends us to try bake oyster and we did. Turn out it’s not as big as she described and not as delicious as we wanted it to be. $12 for a single oyster!!! We spent $100 for 2. Not worth it and we won’t go back.

Delicious and actually Japanese style. The pork loin was thick, yet soft and tender - will definitely be back again for it!

Parking: How easy it is to find parking largely depends on when you go. Parking can get a bit crazy at Aberdeen
