Obanhmi is my favourite vietnamese sandwich shop in richmond but they recently changed the baguette recipe and I'm not a huge fan. It used to be flakey on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, but now it's gotten a lot more dense and almost gummy in texture, like the bread wasn't properly proofed before baking. The outside is also really hard and the crust doesn't flake away like it used to. I can feel it cutting into the inside of my mouth

Amazing banh mi. Bread is so crispy but not hard or chewy. Nice and light and fluffy. Lots of options. Sadly chai goi doesn't come with fish sauce. Smooties are really good. No bathroom, but I didn't ask to go into the back which is closed off. And parking sucks. $2 for 30 min on street.

My go-to spot for delicious bánh mì, I always get the deluxe classic with a smoothie/Thai green tea. Crunchy shell on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, they really loaded up the ingredients! (Unlike other bánh mì shops in Richmond). The flavours are authentic and the price is affordable. I was introduced to this shop by my colleague who chose Obanhmi to do catering for our workplace party.
