We have been coming to Old Street Express for a while for the beef brisket noodle soup. We actually crave for it especially when it's cold out or raining. The portion is good, flat noodles are chewy, and the soup broth is tasty- not at all tasteless like other reviews mention. The drink that comes with it is just bonus (and there are few options). Best value and very decent quality for Taiwanese food in the lower mainland?
Taiwanese food is one of my favourites. A friend suggests 'Old Street Express'.There was a long line, a hint they sell good stuff. I tried the 'Chicken Nuggets Noodle Soup' includes honey green tea for $13.50. I request for the popcorn chicken to be in a separate container so I can enjoy the flavorful soup and the crunchy chicken. Food quality is beyond the price. The noodle soup has rich flavour, generous amount of meat, and a balance of aromatics (scallions, cilantro, etc). Their medium spicy was more of a light for me, but that’s not a deal-breaker. It was freshly made—I think even the noodles. For less than $15 this was a great deal.
