Very rude and unfriendly personal. The old women who were doing the service tried to force us to give the biggest tip. They also didn’t give us privacy and judged us for our food and drink choices. I will never ever go there again!!!

Thank you for a wonderful dinner! The food was delicious. We ordered sunomono salad, chicken karaage, and a variety of rolls. Set in the heart of historic Steveston Village, this is a cozy restaurant with great service.

Unfortunately, this restaurant lives up to its -3.9 star. For a party of four our server was Not attentive at all - the restaurant had a party of 5 or so in the corner that was very very loud, Our food was very tiny portions for the amount paid. In fact, three out of the four of us were done our food by the time the fourth person sashimi showed up. Overall We will not attend this place again.

Is the best place in Steveston. You must try chicken teriyaki and miso soup. Is really really good. I highly recommend it. I will miss it so much

**UPDATE
Ordered again last night, I avoided the karaage so it wouldn't sway my opinion. The rolls (both special and regular), tempura, ebi mayo and yakitori were fresh, and delicious! My partner ordered the beef teriyaki and said it was great as well! Just don't order the karaage.

Original post:
Volcano roll was good (very good!), yakitori was ok, a bit over cooked with very little sauce. Chicken karaage was absolutely horrible. Bland, over breaded and just really gross flavour and texture. A chicken McNugget (which I hate), would have been better.

This place is completely underrated. I've been here several times for dine-in and takeout, and I'm surprised at how low the ratings are. My photos speak for themselves.

had a terrible time. Chicken katsu was dry and greasy. sushi was old and stale, on the verge of going bad. Also owner was a bit rude but young servers were kind and friendly, brought food on time.

Popped in after another sushi restaurant nearby had a long wait and we were hungry. After the table got cleaned and we got seated, we just had a bottle of soy sauce at the table and no water nor chopsticks or napkins were set, and no menu was given. The QR code for the menu at the table led to a page where you couldn't even scroll the page to view anything.

After finally getting a menu, we ordered the California Roll Combo, sockeye salmon don, and the Oceana roll. Portion sizes were small and mily disappointing, sushi rice tasted like it had been out for a while. The shredded white radish in the salmon don was dry and tough, like it came from a really old stalk of radish and set out for a long time. The presentation of the food looked "homely", if we're putting it nicely. It was put on a plate that was way too big for the amount of food on it, which made the already small portions look even smaller. The tuna in the Oceana roll tasted dry and dense.

I'm usually fairly welcoming of all types of sushi and have a decent experience no matter what sort of dining it is (e.g. a la carte or AYCE), and I can't remember the last time I actually felt disappointed with sushi.

Revisiting the place 7 years later. Our favs are still on the menu: rolls Oceana and Sexy! Taste every bit as good if not better.

Food was of mixed quality. "Specialty" rolls were really good. Try cucumber or soy wrapped rolls (Sexy, Oceana). they tasted like ones made in high end sushi place. However, the "mainstream" rolls, like Caterpillar tasted just OKish. Seaweed in those was chewee and wrapping kind of sloppy, a couple of pieces fell apart. Prices? Above average, rolls are 10.95 and up (July 2017). Coconut ice cream we had for dessert was delicious.

Our family have been customers of Ora since they opened & it has been consistent for the most part. BUT tonight was mediocre at best. I don't like to leave bad reviews but after talking to Ora directly before I wrote this they definitely don't care. We spent $100 and they offered us $5 off next time! $5 is an insult. Over all it's very disappointing for a local spot not to care about their local loyal customer. Customer service and how to handle an issue is top priority and they failed at that. Disappointing!

Ora Sushi has good sushis, nothing out of the ordinary, though. My biggest complaint would be that I found it pricier than other comparable places, however it’s in Stevenston, I guess it’s convient if you’re strolling around. It’s a clean restaurant too.
