The menu said stir-fried porcini mushrooms, but I asked the waiter why he couldn't see the porcini mushrooms. He was very rude and said this was porcini sauce! But there is no word "sauce" on the menu!
In the end, I found that the other staff were polite. Only that lady is bad, her name is Alice

The $128 Peking Duck and Lobster combo is a fantastic deal, especially considering today’s prices. Both dishes come in generous portions, and the restaurant doesn’t skimp on quality ingredients. Unlike many traditional Chinese restaurants, the flavors here are on the lighter side, making it a great option for those who prefer less salt in their meals.

Some standout dishes include the Steamed Fresh Tofu with Seafood and Greens, which is silky and packed with umami, and the Baked Pudding, which is rich, creamy, and a perfect way to end the meal. The menu offers a good variety of classic and modern Chinese dishes, catering to different tastes.

Parking is another plus—there’s designated parking underneath the London Drugs lot. However, some diners seem to use the general London Drugs parking area instead. Parking is free for two hours, which should be enough for a relaxed dining experience.

Overall, this place is a great option for quality Chinese food with a lighter touch, good service, and great value. Highly recommended!

I had a disappointing experience at Parkhill Seafood Restaurant in Richmond, BC. The manager, Ronald, was shockingly unprofessional and rude to my Mandarin-speaking mother. She politely requested a table away from a loud customer in an otherwise empty restaurant, and his response was to scream at her, “THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT IS GOING TO FILL UP ANYWAYS SO IT DOES NOT MATTER.” This behavior was unacceptable, especially since the restaurant never filled up. To make matters worse, just 20 seconds later, he gave the exact table my mother requested to another customer who had just arrived.

Additionally, many of the menu items were clearly from frozen, which did not justify the prices.

With such poor treatment of customers and mediocre food quality, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

took around 15 minutes or longer to bring my food here and this is the worst xiao long bao’s i’ve ever had. there was no soup/broth in it, the meat was chewy like a fish all, was horrible

Quite an authentic HK dim sum restaurant. Just the 咸水角 funny to me with mushroom inside!

燒賣is nice.
but 流沙包 is not always 流沙 🤣 one time we the bun with a solid filling.

The Fry Tofu was so good that I remembered to take a picture after eating so mamy pieces.

One downside, though, they have only 4 types of tea to choose from....

Bad taste bad service ok environment

The quality of the food in Dawen is average, and there is a small incident.

It was said that there was hair on the food plate, but the waiter couldn't see it because of my eyesight. When I asked the manager to come over, the manager called him and it didn't happen for a hundred thousand years. In the end, he said "oh" and just picked up the plate. Okay, I'm sorry to add to my comments later. We don't plan to ask for any compensation, we just want to express it, but I really feel bad about it.

The only saving grace is that orders placed before 11 o’clock get a 20% discount. A dim sum costs around $8 on average, which is not particularly affordable.

One of my favorite dimsum place in Richmond. Even though they were quite busy during morning, the services were still pretty acceptable. Most of dimsum were delicately handmade and flavorful. Highly recommended.

Dim sum with the family and in-laws. Service was decent. Food served pretty quick. But that is it. The rest were not good. Food was not hot and very salty. Most of the dishes were not hot (warm or room temp) and very salty (SLB, stir fry rice noodle, and shumai). Some of them were microwaved (you can tell by the texture of the eggplant). Tea was not flavourful and bland. I think the tea leaves were used, washed, dried, and re-used. Most importantly, the toilet was broken and there was no lock on the door. Overall, a mediocre experience and would not come back.

We ordered the lunch special soy sauce crab and vermicelli pot, chicken feet and mushroom dumplings. All of them are very good. They changed plates twice for us. Very good service. Will come back again.
