Love the authentic Vietnamese noodles here! We ordered one assorted beef pho and one vermicelli with Vietnamese spring rolls. The soup for the pho was so good I think it was made with real ox bones and without any MSG. The spring rolls were very nice too, unlike the other more Chinese style ones. This place is operated by Vietnamese people instead of Chinese people like other Vietnamese restaurants, maybe that's why I found it more authentic.

We were visiting from Calgary, auntie and uncle know the good stuff. This place is fab. Some of the most authentic Vietnamese. We had the vermicelli bowls and chicken pho. The prices were really affordable. We wished we lived closer, if we did we'd be back at least once a week.

Beef broth aromatics with herbs, love it. Chicken broth is good and clean as well.

Spring roll yes and the lemongrass chilli oil.

Just if the pork hock could be better than is perfect.

Honestly not worth this price for the quality and size

Saw frozen beef defrosting in a plastic bin on the ground behind the kitchen, that should tell you everything. The pho was bland, the meat tasted off, and the place didn’t feel clean at all. I left feeling gross and honestly worried. There are way better, safer options in town.

I have lived in Richmond for 8 years and never checked this restaurant out. I wish I’d visited sooner! I was skeptical with the menu having no Vietnamese transcribed on their menu, but their food is Vietnamese-approved for me.

I recommend you trying their Hu tieu seafood flat rice noodle with soup on the side! Big portions and their Jasmine Tea was delicious đŸ„°

I bought 4 takeaways of lemongrass pork chop rice, the taste was average, $19 each. But they didn't give me chopsticks, and didn't remind me. After calling them, there was no apology, saying that they didn't provide it by default.

Delicious food at a price that can't be beat! I am a big fan of the vermicelli bowls, particularly the No. 31 order with two veggie spring rolls. Great place to go for comfort food at a cheap price, fast and attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere!

Tucked away in Richmond for an impressive 31 years, this family-owned establishment is a true hidden gem—a well-kept secret cherished by those who appreciate authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

With its straightforward, no-frills, “old Vietnam” setting that feels frozen in time since the ’80s—evoking scenes reminiscent of The Deer Hunter’s vivid portrayal of Vietnam—the unpretentious atmosphere draws you in, encouraging a pure focus on the culinary experience.

Whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeout, the warm and attentive staff only heighten the appeal.

Begin your journey with their Deep-Fried Vegetable Spring Rolls—a quintessential Vietnamese delight. Perfectly crisp and packed with vibrant, flavorful fillings, these spring rolls are accompanied by a sweet fish sauce that adds just the right touch of tang. Cut into convenient 3-inch pieces, they’re simply irresistible.

Equally noteworthy are the Deep-Fried Wontons: golden, crisp parcels generously filled with shrimp and pork. Each bite offers a delightful balance of texture and flavor—a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.

The combo sets are a standout, offering hearty portions of rice or vermicelli paired with grilled short ribs, BBQ chicken, or fragrant lemongrass chicken. The combination of smoky, charred meat and sweet, savory marinade creates a harmony of flavors that’s deeply satisfying.

The extensive menu tempts with a wide array of dishes, yet I often find myself gravitating toward the familiar favorites I’ve enjoyed over the years—whether dining in or taking out.

This spot is a must-try for any lover of Vietnamese cuisine. Don’t expect a four star ambiance, it’s a humble little restaurant in front of Richmond’s City Hall. But its welcoming, friendly service, and consistently delicious dishes will knock your socks off, a culinary experience you won’t soon forget. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Been coming here for over 15 years and the place is still a hole in the wall, the food still tastes good, but the price has increased significantly.

Parking: Small parking lot available in the back, but it's a tight squeeze.
