Sweet Surrender Gelato

I just discovered this place when browsing DoorDash for a sweet treat, and I’m super glad I decided to give it a try. I had a really hard time picking a pint because all the flavours sounded so good, but I settled on cereal milk. A hard one to nail, but also gives me a chance to try the base without too many mixins.

I was honestly very surprised. This is real gelato, and the flavour is unreal. Sooo milky and dense, it literally glides on your tongue as it melts. And the flavour is straight up Frosted Flakes. I’m a massive flavour snob (pastry chef of ~10yrs), and this hits it out of the park. The high price might seem off putting, but gelato is a lot less aerated than ice cream so there’s more packed in there. And you really taste the difference in small batch. I’m super excited to go back for other flavors, especially pistachio and London fog.

I also tried a couple of cookies to test out the pastries, and they were great. Definitely baked on the same day, they were still chewy and crisp. 15 seconds in the microwave made them taste like fresh out of the oven. I’m usually a few bites and I’m good kinda guy, but I ate both cookies and the entire pint in one sitting if that’s worth anything 😂👏🏻

Great service and great flavours! We tried the Hong Kong milk tea and the cereal milk ice gelato . They were both phenomenal. Cannot wait to go back. The milk tea had an intense tea flavour, and the cereal milk was true to its name.

Holy hell the flavours here created a serious delimma. Picked the right one though. Charcuterie - Pecans and dates and goat cheese , A++ . Service was so sweet though, didn’t make me feel guilty at all about the thousand flavours I tried!

Best gelato in Richmond. It's not overly sweet, you can really appreciate the aroma of the ingredients. They also have bold and interesting flavors. My recommendations are the coverture chocolate, it's really good quality chocolate, cereal milk one really good and nostalgic, the lemon kumquat also very refreshing and tasty. My nephew said its really rich, he can finish the whole thing by himself!

My friend had heard good things about this place and looking at the menu it seemed this would be a great place to go. But all hype didn’t pan up to expectations. The gelato was good but I didn’t have it very flavourful, pretty bland actually. Same goes for the waffle bowl. Maybe it’s cuz I was expecting creamy ice cream kind of vibes but this place is gelato.

This is difinitely a hidden gem in Steveston Village. Owner was very friendly and very patient with my kids. He told us that he flew to Italy to learn how to make gelato and their ice-cream was one of the best I have tried in the Lower Mainland. My favorite is black sesame.

First time visited this place .Beautiful location . Friendly staffs. I was confuse to choose my gelato so she helped me to select my flovers. she gave me sample for testing so it really helped for me. I ordered Pistachio and Couverture Chocolate.Both was testy and delicious.
