Whenever I travel to Vancouver I go out of my my way to come here. I've brought many people here as well. Service is always amazing and food is phenomenal. Highly recommend!

Food is considered to be good, but too busy to answer customer's reservation request!

A Japanese restaurant that serves traditional Japanese flavours. They’re there. Food is almost as good as it gets for the majority of the menu, only let down by some elements. Service is very friendly. I had a Chirashi dinner set and it was good. However, the squid (Ika) stuffed with Mentaiko was my favourite item on the menu. Absolutely amazing. My chirashi dinner set also came with ice cream! Very nice. As for the price, it’s somewhat worth it. Only criticisms that the oyster motoyaki was not that good and weird in flavour and consistency.

We've been coming here for years and we were so disappointed today. The nigiri is so tiny and a little fishy. They used to be bigger and more plump and had good texture. We could justify and price in the past but it's not worth it anymore, unfortunately.

This place had been overpriced for many, many years but this time they really failed even my friend who has always been generous!
There were only 4 tables of 2 patrons each; 3 servers on the floor plus cashier. But we had to ASK for tea multiple times, only the Chinese lady cared to bring it, the other 2 nodded and forgot THREE TIMES!! The hot food became cold because it was forgotten to bring to the table until we asked TWICE!
I had to flag down the same young waitress twice for the bill; of course she forgot, then asked again twice! Unbelievable! You should know your protocols by now after running this business 20+ years!

Restaurantji Recommends
This restaurant is a true gem. I was amazed at the warm and friendly service I received from the hostess, my waitress and the chefs. I ordered a variety of food and everything was prepared very quickly and it was excellent quality and great taste. I was extremely happy to have eaten here and I recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic japanese dining experience.

Cozy but dated mom-and-pop 🍣 sushi bar swaddled far corner of plaza.
Was voted 6/10 Best Richmond Sushi locations in 2021 , but IMO the quality is mediocre and service was standard. Prices however was reasonable. They offer sushi bar and tatami seating experience. It more quantity over quality, but is consistent in every aspect which shows being around for over two decades
For a regional taste Seto Sushi offers a Dynamite+BC+California combo at reasonable prices with eight 8pc of each.
Free parking and they do speak Japanese here which makes it a bit more authentic.

We’ve been loyal customers of this Japanese restaurant for many years. The food is always excellent. After receiving the notice that it will be closing for renovations starting June 2nd, we made a special effort to come and have dinner with our family today.
However, we were very disappointed by what happened during our visit. We ordered the teapot soup, and to our surprise, the server handed us the small teacup by pinching the inside of the cup with two fingers. This is extremely unhygienic — who would feel comfortable drinking soup from a cup that has just been touched like that?
To make things worse, after we paid the bill but were still enjoying our dessert, the same server suddenly started clearing our table. I told her politely that she could wait and come later until we leave but she ignored me and continued removing the empty plates right in front of us. This made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. We were there for less than an hour. The server-a lady with black hair , black glasses and a face mask. Her service attitude is so so so bad compare to her colleagues. She was rude and left a very negative impression.
We’ve always appreciated the food and service in the past, but today’s experience was really disappointing. We hope the management will take this feedback seriously and improve staff hygiene and service manners in the future.
