Parking situation better than silver tower. Interior feels a bit less drab than silver tower and no.9 when you’re weighing late night options.
Service is nice

I had the Portuguese baked coconut chicken on rice and it was terrible. It wasn’t authentic. I paid the first time without tip and the waiter asked about the tip in a rude way, told me to pay tips for the food I don’t like.

Been here many times, food quality is solid, we especially like their afternoon tea deal which ends around 5:30pm daily with a good selection and you can add a French toast for $2.99, maximum one discounted fresh toast per table. Haven’t tried anything that we disliked, the chicken is very tender and flavorful and the portion is generous. Parking could be tough as the lot is shared with at least one other restaurant. Will continue to be regular customers to this one.

Despite the initial praise I’d heard about this places affordability as a late night spot, this place turned out to be an absolute letdown, an experience so soured by the staff’s behavior that it completely overshadowed anything substantial on the plate.
I had actually received a recommendation from a friend who spoke highly of this place. So we had brought a group to try it out. As many reviews pointed out, the taste and quality of the food is quite overshadowed by the service and attitude of one particular server. What was a well anticipated experience turned sour with her attitude towards us asking for the bill to be split. Instead of explaining why the bill couldn’t be split she ignored us for half an hour and proceeded to chuck the bill on the table. This was truly a shockingly adverse and disappointing experience as we all just sat there awkwardly trying to make sense of the situation. This was the first time, as a customer that I had to de-escalate an aggressive and frankly rude waitress that was met with nothing but friendliness on our end.
What should have been a memorable night out instead became a lesson in how fast terrible service can ruin an entire experience. I wouldn’t set foot in this place again, nor suggest it to anyone.

Awesome Hong Kong Style Cafe. You will get sensory overload from all the eclectic pieces on the walls and decorations that remind you of famous actors and singers of the past. They play concert videos of famous HK singers. The food is delicious. Chinese comfort food that those raised on it will appreciate and newbies to the cuisine will come to enjoy. Must try the HK style milk tea. Not a large restaurant. All booths.

Herbal chicken soup was good and flavourful! Pretty generous portion and price is ok compared to other cafes. Would come back for sure.

I like the atmosphere here and the food is good too… wish the peanut (with chicken feet) was a bit softer!

I wish I didn’t try. Service lousy, waited for 15 minutes before waiter came to take order.
Food is not good but not cheap at all.
Waitresses were all very rude or cold.
When we paid the bill, the waitress or cashier, yelled really loud about the payment twice that the whole noisy restaurant customers can hear.
Will never try again especially food doesn’t taste well. Why pay for frustration?
We ordered Hainan Chicken and when it arrived the chicken was lukewarm and the plate was ice cold. Usually this dish is served either completely chilled or hot from being freshly cooked, so this made no sense to me. If the chicken has been cooked and served freshly hot, why is the plate cold? Did they put the plate in the fridge first and then serve the hot chicken onto it, which caused the chicken to lose heat and become just lukewarm, while the plate stayed cold?
We asked the server and she said that they cook it ahead of time and store it in the fridge, then microwave it for 30 seconds before serving. Thus, the chicken is warmed (but not hot) and the plate stays cold because it was fridge temperature. And indeed, when we got to the middle of the chicken it was cold, as the microwave radiation had only warmed the chicken on the outside.
This is incredibly bizarre to me. This is a dish that is either hot or cold, no in-between. This is not a question of style; I like both hot and cold variations of this dish. But I cannot understand why they would do this microwave procedure, and I don't like it. If they want to cook it ahead of time and store it in the fridge, why not just serve it cold? And if they want to heat it up, why not warm it fully, and serve it on a warmed plate?
Perhaps this is a new variation of Hainan Chicken that Super Stars Cafe has invented. The chicken was actually cooked really well and tasted great, as did the congee and curry that we also ordered. But I cannot forgive this strange microwave business.
In general, everything was great. Maybe that's the only cafe that still has a TV.
