Great location, great room. However, there was a slight smell like it had been allowed to smoke in earlier days....

We knew time would be tight. We emailed the property two days prior to arrival asking for late check in instructions. No response. Called the day before, twice, only got the answering machine. Left messages, neither returned. We got there at 11:05 pm, and the sign in the door said front desk closes at 11pm. Had to get a room last minute elsewhere in Richmond, which proved very expensive and no where near Stevenson. Extremely upset at this property's management.

My experience here wasn’t so great how i’d imagine it to be one of the workers was quite rude I believe his name was Justin. There is also no ac in the facility which makes it unbearable and very unfortunate for the workers I have no idea how they manage to do it.

This hotel is amazing ! The staff are friendly and super helpful and the location can't be beat. Stayed here a few times and have always had a great experience. We look forward to our next stay.

Breakfast down stairs was the best. Go for the $10 meal! Hotel staff friendly. It was more than what I expected. This place is walkable to pier and all the shops

Currently staying at the Steveston Hotel unable to sleep as there appears to be a truck idling next door ( extractor fan) . Avoid room 31 as it appears you are trying to sleep with all noises conceivable. We love this place so it is a shame to be writing this.

Loved this place. Staff was funny and friendly. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the a/c worked great. It's just a simple old historic little hotel. No bells or whistles but a great location. We will stay here again.

Great breakfast place and lunch.

Justin exhibits a lack of professionalism and rudeness, refusing to accept calls or assist guests. He promptly hangs up on customers during conversations. I would not recommend this hotel for its unfriendly and unhelpful front desk staff.

This hotel is a GREAT location. Walking distance to everything in Steveston. This is a more convenient location than the only other hotel in town. The only downfall was 2 of our 5 mornings, we had no hot water :( they said they had boiler issues. It is an 1895 hotel, but if they are having that many problems with hot water, they should upgrade it. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were a little outdated. Bathrooms were great, but they had old 90s curtains and brass ceiling fans. Could use a little updating. Overall, great experience at this hotel and we very much enjoyed the Steveston area :)

We stayed from 14th until 17th June 2025.

Please don’t read previous reviews with regards to the buck and ear pub, as this pub is closed and the sign says it’s closed for good. So you don’t need to worry about getting a good nights rest. We had a lovely nights rest no noise to contend with.

We had a lovely room, the en-suite was recently refurbished it they could have given the bedroom a touch up to make it modern.

Otherwise I had a good experience and plenty of parking at the rear. Not far from Vancouver airport. Much recommended.

Buck is closed but fond memories linger.

Hotel Review.
Room was great. Rooms are on the second level with no elevator. We live in Canada and Canadian Cash should not be able to be refused. This place will only accept credit card. I understand credit card for the deposit and security deposit reasons..... but I stay at hotels all the time and you should be able to switch to cash on check out.

Stayed a night here saw multiple mice in the hallways and rooms of hotel. Was not pleasant at all. Staff were nice.
