The food was pretty good. It's located in the food court area next to the stairs Service was ok- nothing to add. Ambiance was not amazing as it's packed and the place isn't entirely clean. But the building is old, so can't ask for much

Pretty decent Xian style (surprise, surprise) food stall in Richmond Public Market. Parking is available in the lot attached to the building. Looks like a mom (and pop?) shop. In fact, the owner's kids behind the counter seemed bored out of their skulls. Haha. This place has mostly noodle soup, but also other goodies such as lamb skewers, and deep fried buns. They have several noodle types, but my go to is always their thick noodles. The wide flat ones, not the udon ones. The food is basically home cooking. The lamb soup noodle hit the spot. Decent chunks of meat, and plenty of noodles as opposed to just soup. I actually left satisfied. Special mention. I also tried their skewers, which were a bit pricey ($10 for 3 as of the time of writing). Decent spices, but a bit on the salty side, which is a shame, because otherwise I could recommend them. Overall I'd stick to the noodle soup. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point.

This is one of the restaurants located In the Richmond public market. There are many options to choose from in this food court but this place is a must try! I got the beef noodle soup with knife cut noodles which was delicious . My favorite part of this meal was the texture of the noodle. They had it cooked to perfection with more of an Al dente texture. The wait was pretty long but it was worth it in the end. Give them a try if you're in the area and are craving hand pulled noodle!

As fans of the Xi'an noodles in New York (and in general), we knew we had to try out this Xi'an Cuisine in the Richmond Public Market for comparison! - PARKING -There's a parking lot that connects to the Richmond Public Market and is an easy walk over for convenience! Be careful of crazy/fast drivers that speed around the corners! We witnessed at least 3 cars going way too dangerously fast!- SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT -They don't have a buzzing/electronic system that lets you know when your order is done, so standby near the stall and the staff will call out your order items as they're ready. There's several tables within the Market so seating shouldn't be a problem.- FOOD -Fried Noodle w/ Lamb and Vegetables ($16.00): What I believe is their version of the Spicy Dry Cumin Lamb Noodles. LOVED the texture and chew of the hand pulled/knife cut noodles - probably the best part! There was a decent amount of lamb chunks, and a good variety of vegetables. I do think it could have been more flavorful, but add some of their chili oil before you leave the pick-up counter and it helps a bit!Special Cold Noodle ($11.00): What I believe is their version of Liang Pi. Compared to the noodles from the Lamb dish, these noodles were a bit of a let down. They're just thick ho fun noodles that you would get in packages from the market. I also thought the flavoring was blander than the Lamb dish, which was disappointing. I would stick to the Lamb Noodles!Pan-Fried Pork Buns (3pc): Really nice fluffy bun and a super crisp bottom. Good ratio of filling to bun. I liked this, but didn't love it. Definitely had more flavorful fillings before, but I appreciated how fluffy the bun was.- OVERALL -Decent pick in the Market, would recommend the Lamb Noodles and the Pan-Fried Buns.

Craving noodles after shopping in 0 degree weather at the Richmond outlets! We wanted Taiwanese style beef noodles but couldn't find something that appealed to us so we decided to go to the Richmond market with a bunch of food stalls. There were so many to choose from, but Xi'an cuisine stood out because of their hand-pulled noodles! For under $10 I got the noodles with chilli and vegetables. I couldn't even finish it! The noodles were nice and chewy, super fresh, and had a vinegary taste to it. Kind of wish I got the bowl with pork, but it was still very good. Their chilli wontons were also very taste with the homemade wrap

I came here before a few years ago doing a dumpling trail and got the spicy wonton. Although it was ok, I wanted to come back to try their pan fried dumplings as it looks good. Now I'm back and I'm so glad I did. We came when they just open so I had to wait for about 20 minutes for them to finish cooking. First impression, these things were huge!!!!!! For $8, I thought I was going to get some small size dumplings but instead, I got 3 plump size (fist size) baos! The bottom was perfectly crispy and although it was freaking hot inside, it was soooo flavorful and juicy. I left in a rush but man, I wanted chili oil. If I had chili oil, this would have been a 5 star.I'm so glad I came back to try the dumplings, now I have to back to try their noodles :)

Warning: very carb heavy. One bowl of this will likely be more than enough to fill you up. Came here with some friends and had ordered the skewers. While everything was nicely flavoured (lots of cumin as is the northern style!), they were rather small and overpriced for the amount of meat on them.Ordered the Cold noodles with sesame sauce and these were yummy. Very good flavours but once again it's very carb heavy. I finished about half my bowl and gave up.Also had a few bites of the stewed pork burger and found it dry. Perhaps it's bc I opted for no vegetables. But the bun, although yummy and crispy, was still lacking in some moisture. Pork was very well seasoned though.Would I come back? Likely not, but definitely a good experience :)
