I had an amazing experience at U Town❤️ The variety of options was impressive, with plenty of fresh ingredients to choose from.

The food preparation was incredibly fast, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were so nice and welcoming, always checking in to see if we needed anything. To top it off, they served us complimentary ice cream after the meal, which was a delightful touch.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious hotpot and great service!

Clean, bright, and spacious inside. It's one of the most pleasant hot pot restaurants to dine in.

Ingredients were a bit basic, but the quality was good. I think they were purposely cut a little bit smaller, so you were encouraged to sample a bit more variety. Non-spicy suitors were fresh; didn't taste artificial.

I recently visited U Town Hot Pot in Richmond and had a fantastic experience at their new location. The space feels bright, welcoming, and modern—easy to relax in while enjoying a great meal.

The food is outstanding. The broth options were flavorful and comforting, and the selection of meats, vegetables, and fresh toppings was impressive. I especially appreciated the variety that lets you customize your pot just the way you like it.

A huge bonus is the complimentary drinks and the ice cream in a cone that comes with the meal. There is also a free bowl of rice upon your request. It’s a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel special and kid-friendly, too. Take advantage of the drinks and the cone ice cream—it’s a delightful end to the meal and a fun perk kids (and adults) will love.

Service was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. The staff explained the orders clearly, checked in just enough, and kept the table running smoothly without feeling pushy. A special shoutout to John, the store manager, for being so kind and even offering an extra drink when my wife asked about what the table next to us was enjoying—nice gesture that truly enhanced our visit.

If you’re in the Richmond area, I highly recommend U Town Hot Pot. Great food, welcoming service, and a thoughtful setup with free drinks, dessert and a bowl of rice. I can’t wait to go back soon!

The service and food were exceptionally good! The restaurant is newly renovated and very clean! The tomato soup and dry sesame noodles was very well made and the service of the staff and manager went above and beyond! They were quick to serve and assist and I would come eat here again when I'm back in town! Highly recommend!

I’m a hot pot lover and often have spicy food. On my first visit, I chose the spicy dry mix, but the food wasn’t fully cooked — everything was too hard except for the beef slices. I decided to give them a second chance, thinking maybe the soup option would be better. Unfortunately, on my second visit, I had stomach right after eating.

Had a very underwhelming experience at U Town Hot Pot. I wanted to start my day early so I arrived at 11:00am but less than a quarter of the ingredients were available. I had to wait until 11:35am before I could make my selection and pay. The staff compensated me with one (overpriced $3.95) drink and called it a day. Besides that all the protein options curled the meat into each other so you could not select 1 or 2 slices, you were forced to choose 5-6 slices of meat at once. I usually pay $20-25 at other malatang places but my pot cost $28 here, probably because they charge more than other places at $19.99/lb or $4.40/100grams. The food itself was OK but the servers were inattentive, I had to ask multiple times for (a tiny) ice cream despite only having a few patrons. I will not be coming here again.

A must go hot pot place. Ingredients are super fresh and clean, well organized. I had classic spicy broth, medium spicy is a bit spicier than other hot pot places, very tasty. Service is good too. Definitely visit again soon.

The broth is so flavorful, and you can even choose a non-spicy base — light and refreshing! All the ingredients are super fresh, from the tofu skin to the veggies and beef. Clean place with great service. Highly recommend!
