Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience here. The flavors were off, the food didn’t taste fresh, and I noticed the bowls weren’t properly cleaned. We got stomach sick after eating here. Definitely not coming back.
I forgot to take pictures. Anyway this is standard like bigway, the choices are also very similar, but unfortunately it's even less options to choose from. I gave it 4 stars because the Tomato soup is pretty tasty, weird thing is, they don't have malatang soup broth. (I changed it to 3 starts because after eating, my throat itch and thirsty a lot, meaning they use MSG a lot)
Service is ok.
Washroom could be cleaner and better smell.
No free ice cream, that's the downside. They can give you free Jelly dessert only order above $20. So keep this in mind if you expecting free ice cream at this place.
Can't go wrong with the food here!
The food, the beef bone stock was amazing. But the price is a bit expensive. We spend 70 CAD / 2 people.
I don’t know how many times I’ve eaten here. The variety of dishes is a bit limited. It would be nice if there were more choices.

A restaurant with delicious malatang. A place where you can taste the spicy flavor that Asians love. I was worried because the price of food was determined by weight. I was satisfied with the price.

I’ve never tried Malatang in Vancouver before. It’s not a big restaurant and it was almost full at around 1pm.
✅Recommended spicy mix
The little spicy is not enough, you can choose the big spicy next time
More than 20 yuan for a huge bowl. It’s so delicious that you can eat it till you’re full.

The service was very poor. We were allowed to take the food ourselves and it was not brought to the table. too expensive.

Walked in at 2200, an hour before closing, staff said take out only right now. As we walk out, a group of 3 mandarin speaking customers walk in and are allowed to eat in. We were just like what?? Unbelievable.

I have recently found this place near my work, and this place is amazing and will be my go to place for lunch break! (Food court $14-$16 but $10-$13 for malatang is amazing!! Depends how much you put! $3.99/100g I believe)
The taste also reminds me of malatang I had in Korea!! I love this place so much :3
