I used to love the Chinese sauerkraut fish soup here but recently it's very watered down. The flavour is gone. It's very sad, I really used to love coming here for this noodle soup.

Food here is good and I would recommend it. Was disappointed that they charge for each container used for the leftovers which reflects the overall rating

It was fairly cheap. Food was delicious. Services were exemplary. Waitress refilled our cup of water 3 times in a span of 45 minutes. Each time we were there on weekdays, we always arrived with empty tables available but not so lucky on weekends, though..

Laotan's pickled cabbage and fresh fish rice noodles are delicious, and the service is good. If you don't have enough rice noodles, you can refill them. Will eat again if I have a chance in the future.

Our Sunday lunch here was very enjoyable. At 11:40ish, we four were the only ones there, so it was nice and quiet. Even so, we had to constantly wave to get the waitress’ attention. My bowl of noodle soup was delicious; I especially liked the spicy broth and al dente rice noodles.it was a plus to be able to get free refills on the noodles (unlimited!). The chicken gristles (cartilage) were tasty, too.

- Fried pork ribs: perfectly seasoned and fried to crisp ??- Spicy sliced beef/tendon/tripe: flavourful and opens up the appetite.- Braised pork ribs: the ? well-seasoned and off-the-bone riblets!- Braised chicken: same sauce as the ribs, but hard to beat pork in terms of mouthfeel ?- Original soup: disappointingly bland; guess it's a balancer for the other heavy dishes.Service was prompt and could've been friendlier...a smile doesn't cost a thing ?

This is a really good friendly and down to earth noodle shop in a strip mall (which means abundant, free parking) in Richmond. Their specialty is various varieties of noodle soup with the broth in a sizzling super hot pot (DO NOT TOUCH THE POT!), with a bowl of noodles on the side, which can be refilled (complimentary). They also have a variety of appetizers, cold dishes, and rice-based dishes. The place was super clean, and the food options were excellent. Most people order off the QR code available at each table, but you can also ask for a paper menu or order at the counter up front. Food is then served to you at your table, with a choice of lovely hot tea (I think it's barley tea), or cold water, refilled upon request. We enjoyed both of our noodle dishes -- deep fried squid tentacles as an appetizer, and original rice noodle soup (not spicy), and Yang's boneless chicken with hand pulled noodles (mild spice) as mains for the two of us. The squid appetizer was huge - and each tentacle was pretty big so it was ample for two and excellent value for money. To be Goldilocks honest, the "non-spicy" dish we ordered was a bit too bland, and the "mild spice" dish was a bit too spicy, so next time we visit, we're going to order everything not spicy and ask for a little chili oil on the side so we can add just the right amount for each of us. I'm assuming they can do that but not 100% sure. Also, even without asking for more rice noodles, the portions were so big and filling, we couldn't finish what was served and thus took the rest home with us (and we are pretty big eaters). Pro tip 1: Check out the "VIP" diner program where you pay a one-time $20 fee and then get 10% off every order you make (both dine in and take out) for the rest of your life, at any of their dozen or so locations in Canada. On top of that, you earn points with each purchase, which can be used for food and special events. We liked the vibe of this place, which is only about 10 minutes from YVR, so it was an excellent choice to return home to some good food, and figured we'd be going again, so after a few more trips, the $20 we spent on the VIP status will soon pay off (and then some). Pro tip 2: When you order the spice level for your food (not spicy, mild, spicy, or "suicide"), be warned - even mild spicy has quite the kick. As mentioned above, I'm not sure if you can get chili oil on the side but our preference would be something between not spicy and mild.

Not really the best place for a quick meal the portions are huge impossible for one to finish on his own. Meat had a funky taste to it and really fatty.

Some of my favorite noodles in the city. Really great place if you like rice noodles. You get unlimited free rice noodle refills! The broth is really the best part of this restaurant, really high quality stuff and full of collagen if you're into skincare/bodybuilding. Also their 土豆丝 and 演变牛肉 is really good.Kid-friendliness: Have highchairs

love coming by for a late night bowl of hot noodles. Extra noodles are free, and hassle free self-ordering via mobile. Stone pot stays super hot for a long time. They’ve been adding more side dishes and options now too!

Sorry to say, the experience fell far short of expectations. First, I ordered a rice noodle, expecting the authentic Yunnan Cross Bridge rice noodle, but unfortunately, it was far from the authentic taste. The store not only offers Yunnan cuisine, but also Northeastern and Shandong cuisine, which made me question the authenticity of their Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles. Additionally, I ordered spicy belly shreds, but it was surprisingly salty and almost inedible. When I reported this problem to the waiter, their solution was to let me soak the shredded belly in water before eating it, which surprised me. The accompanying pictures give a better idea of the dishes. Finally, when paying the bill, they claimed that their dishes were too spicy. But according to my experience, this is not just a question of taste, but more of a question of the level of preparation of the dishes. This restaurant seems to be a simple combination of special dishes from various places, rather than really focusing on the traditional cuisine of a certain region. For those Chinese-speaking people who have left good reviews for him, I would like to ask you: Have you never tasted authentic Yunnan Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodles?
