We always enjoy coming here. But tonight we tried their Shepherds pie. It was delicious and some of the best I have ever had. The flavours, thick gravy and veg and covered with creamy potatoes with melted cheese on top. And it came out piping hot with a piece of grilled thick cut bread to soak up the delicious gravy. Total comfort food but not a boring dish. And then we finished the meal with homemade pie and Salt Spring organic coffee. Their homemade pies are worth every penny....
Step back in time, enjoy homemade food in a totally relaxed atmosphere filled with historic memorabilia & the friendliest bartender! Huge juicy beef patties, fresh fries, blueberry hacksap pie! You must try this place!
We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and found a table ourselves. Someone came by soon after to let us know they were understaffed that day and it would be a bit until someone could help us. It wasn't that long a wait and it's a lovely location anyway so we didn't mind. If you're in a hurray maybe try somewhere else but if you have a bit of time this is definitely work the stop. The riverside location is really nice.
