“I've dropped into this place occasionally for the past 20 years. A burger and a beer, a chat with a local and back on the road. It's one of the few remaining 1800s operating bars in BC's hinterland. We lose one every decade or so. The Beaverdel went down in the 2000s. The Tulameen, I'm afraid might be the next. This building was built in 1894. I want it to be rough. I don't expect self appointed urban foodie critics to like the place. In fact, the more I hear from them, the better I like it. My truck broke down last year near Rock Creek. The visit date on the site did not go back to June 2022 when I was there last, thus the 2023 posted date. I had a great night eating and drinking beer on the deck overlooking the river with some newly befriended locals. Then I spent the night in one of the rooms upstairs before catching a ride to KTown for truck parts. The room was hot, the bed sagged and squeaked and the open window was right above the highway where transport trucks rolled by. I loved it! This is not a polished 5 star palace. It's legitimately old and doesn't hide from that. It's in a small..no...tiny town where staff are even harder to find than in the city. I don't care if the fries are a bit cold or the server forgot to put ketchup on the table. I don't care if the next beer took a bit longer to come than it would in a Yaletown bar or a breasteraunt like Earls. And I like talking to the locals to find out what's happening rather than cloister at a table, polishing the cutlery with a napkin while looking around for impending danger. I usually pass by here on a motorcycle in riding season. It's a great place to find other riders. If you risk anxiety being in the same room as black leather (or hi-vis green) and oil stained boots, relax. We don't bite. Nor do we b1+c6 about little issue that comes with the challenges of trying to run a customer service business at the side of a secondary highway out in the weeds. Enjoy this old place for what it is and not for what you want it to be. We're all lucky that it's still standing. Sit on the back deck and watch the river go by. If that doesn't do something for you, you took the wrong road. I know I'll be back when that road calls in the spring.”

“Very good food! This was our second time time visiting this place, and it was as good as the first time. Recommend to visit Molson Ghost Town if you are in that area.”
