the pasta is very good and i definitely recommend the pesto but the bread is cold and microwaved so its okay. service is good but not top tier probably because its a take out type of restaurant but you can still sit inside or outside. the staff are nice though. the atmosphere is beautiful, there are parks all around, a huge hill with trees and the ocean too.

I dropped in to get their spinach ricotta cannelloni they were sold out. I tried it once a year ago and I have thought about it since. I live off island. They saw I was sad and I told them how I've been dreaming of it since then. They said they had sold out for the day. But the guy said if I could come back later in the day he would make me some fresh! I was so excited and agreed I went and got it and so excited to eat it again! I got their pesto and bocconcini nd if it's anything like their pasta it'll be amazing. The staff are super helpful and amazing and food incredible :)
Update: even better then I remembered ate it all up.

Del Vecchio Pasta Fresca is a must destination when visiting Salt Spring Island for fresh pasta and pizza lovers. Owner and Chef Max creates delicious Italian favorites. We tried Ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and the Margherita pizza... both were delicious and served with big smiles. This small place is worth a detour. "Forza Italia" and "complimenti" team Max.

A wonderful place for pasta and pizza! The pizza comes in a thin crunchy crust, or a thick focaccia bread style, both of which were delicious! Pictured in this review are the margarita and garlic sausage pizzas, which can be bought by the slice when available in the front display. The pasta took a little longer to come out, I assume also because of the large crowd of people that were lined up with us. But it was well worth the wait as the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the pesto and porcini mushroom pastas we ordered tasted amazing and flavourful. I love the unique pasta shapes and how the ridges trap all the sauce inside as well! Would definitely recommend trying this place, but do be aware that the pasta may take a little longer to come out if you’re expecting to grab and go quickly.

Literally the best pasta I've ever had. I highly recommend the saffron and leek pasta as well as the amatriciana. I live in Ontario but visit saltspring every summer, and I make a point to come here at least twice while I'm there. Keep doing what you're doing because your food is phenomenal!
