Del Vecchio Pasta Fresca is a must destination when visiting Salt Spring Island for fresh pasta and pizza lovers. Owner and Chef Max creates delicious Italian favorites. We tried Ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and the Margherita pizza... both were delicious and served with big smiles. This small place is worth a detour. "Forza Italia" and "complimenti" team Max.

A wonderful place for pasta and pizza! The pizza comes in a thin crunchy crust, or a thick focaccia bread style, both of which were delicious! Pictured in this review are the margarita and garlic sausage pizzas, which can be bought by the slice when available in the front display. The pasta took a little longer to come out, I assume also because of the large crowd of people that were lined up with us. But it was well worth the wait as the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the pesto and porcini mushroom pastas we ordered tasted amazing and flavourful. I love the unique pasta shapes and how the ridges trap all the sauce inside as well! Would definitely recommend trying this place, but do be aware that the pasta may take a little longer to come out if you’re expecting to grab and go quickly.

Literally the best pasta I've ever had. I highly recommend the saffron and leek pasta as well as the amatriciana. I live in Ontario but visit saltspring every summer, and I make a point to come here at least twice while I'm there. Keep doing what you're doing because your food is phenomenal!

Love all their food. Pasta, pizza, ciabatta buns are wonderful. When we entertain, we get one of the large lasagnas. Feeds us all and is delicious!Love the atmosphere and vibe they put out. Friendly, courteous, and smiling!

Funky Fresh Pasta place in Ganges. Great meals and were able to get GF pasta for one of us. Indoor and outdoor tables right next to the park in central location - all one level - dogs permitted on patio

I'm a regular here along with my family. The fresh pasta, pizza, homemade sauces, freshly made lasagna and the olive oil from Italy are all first rate quality. Best on the island for sure, maybe in the province. Only suggestion-- I wish they used more garlic in the homemade pesto.

We thought buying from an Italian owner would make this a great tasty meal but in our case the pasta quality was awesome except for the Bolognese which has very little meat in it and was so over powered by the tomato sauce, taste was not that great either ! Definitely would not recommend this place ! We are foodies and so a bit more demanding but I guess this is Salt Spring and this may be amazing for most people

We ordered three pizzas, received one promptly but waited 45 minutes for the other two pizzas as there seemed to be one mixup after another. The owner laughed when we complained about the amount of time the lengthy delay and there was not so much as an apology for the length of time it had taken.

Ordered pizza, sauce tasted like Catellis from a can. Crust was good. This was as bad of a pizza as one can get for that price. Disappointed.

Pasta Fresca has the most amazing delicious food on salt spring island. Genuine Italian authentic food. My personal favourite is the porcini mushroom cream sauce on fresh pasta. You can also order one of their amazing pizzas with organic flour and tomato sauce to take home and heat there. So much better than the $7 frozen pizzas at the store.!
