I was gifted this dining experience for my birthday. The food and service were outstanding but I was disappointed in the table we were given. The location was a little nook with a view of a parking lot. Also we were given a table next to a boisterous larger group so we got to be part of their evening conversation 🙄 I wish we had been given a better table and now I know you need to ask. However, the meal and service were top notch.
Great evening of a dining experience/ our server Robyn was excellent and her personality and great service with the excellent food just added To the evening.
We had a lovely dinner at Hastings House. The restaurant is quaint and charming and the food was delicious. I loved the Sablefish served with fresh veggies from the garden and the Shepherds Pie couldn't have been more authentic and delicious! The chocolate pate dessert was extraordinary and sinful! Thank you for such a memorable dining experience and we loved our stay at your charming property!

Manor Dining is a hidden gem in Salt Spring with incredible food and top-notch service. The setting offers a stunning view of the harbour, with a walk down wooden stairs from the parking lot through trees leading to the restaurant. The ambience is warm and inviting, complemented by beautiful grounds and the quaint door of The Snug. The staff is friendly and attentive, with servers like Jonah and Derek providing excellent recommendations such as Malpeque oysters, duck confit, and Swiss dishes. The menu features delicious options including the Shepherd’s Pie, Caesar’s salad, wild mushroom and spinach cannelloni with pesto cream sauce, and grilled beef tender medallion with Swiss Gruyère potatoes, all cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Vegetarian options like artichoke ravioli are tasty, and other popular desserts include Grand Marnier creme brulee and Swiss carrot cake. The overall experience is memorable, with impeccable service and attention to detail, making it a must-visit spot on Salt Spring Island. Parking can be a bit tricky, but the exceptional food and atmosphere make it well worth a return visit.
