Amazing food, beautiful setting and wonderful staff and owners. What a great place to eat after a tough day of biking the steep roads on Salt Spring. The fish and chips were a cut above, not greasy at all, with just a light malt batter. The lobster mac and cheese, comfort food with a twist, really hit the spot for my wife. Highly recommended…and be sure to reserve with Tock as they are popular. Also, check out the bathroom decor!

Food was great however my husband asked for a some mustard and mayonnaise for his burger and was charged $3.00 for each condiment, not a big deal but the server should have told us about the extra charge. Don’t mind paying for it but that’s a bit pricey.

If you are the kind of diner who loves looking for a gem in offbeat places, I have the best for you. Off The Hook on Salt Spring is extraordinary. Justin and Santina run an incredibly high-level operation in terms of food, service and atmosphere. Whether you come in winter or in summer, you will be so glad you find yourselves at their table. And did I mention they have sushi of the highest quality. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I had the Red Thai Currey with Prawns and rice, dine in on a long weekend Friday,

the place was almost empty when we arrived for an early reservation, and by the time we finished our meal the place was packed.

The food was great, sad that I’ll be missing the special roast on Sunday.

Definitely a gem on Salt Spring.

What an amazing place! The sushi was incredible and had so many flavour combinations. The mains looked great will definitely have to come back to try those! Incredibly friendly staff and lovely chilled atmosphere with gorgeous views of the sea. Would 100% recommend

A bit disappointed as it was our last evening on the island and the only restaurant we chose to go to over 3 days. We had a 7pm seating, but they seem to have run out of a number of dishes. I am happy for their success, but it was not great for us and we booked 3 days in advance. The food was hit or miss, some nice appetisers (edmame and flour de courgette) and I liked the sushi. Fish and chips was just ok and not sure why half the plate was covered with a cabbage salad which was impossible to finish. The rest of the mains, were ok. The patio was nice with some live music, and we still had a nice evening,

Some of the best sushi I've ever had, fresh and delicious. Service was efficient and the team is kind and caring. Dessert to finish it off was the perfect ending touch. Would definitely go and eat again!! 👍

Eggplant is perfection - creamy interior, crispy exterior and not greasy at all.
The bar does a great job with the Wreck of the Panther.
Get on the mailing list to attend a prawn boil, it is worth staying overnight. Prawns the size of small lobsters, cooked till tender, fresh corn, soft mini potatoes, and great sausage. Waiters circle serving fresh hot garlic bread. Amazing experience!

On our 2weeks roadtrip through Canada this was clearly our best dinner!! We (couple) split three starters and the sockeye salmon as a main and were very full after! The sushi (we had the surf+turf) is super fresh and the other 2 starters were a taste explosion (giant shrimp in honey sauce with pecans, ceviche was so good with mango). All the waiters and bartenders were super friendly and very helpful-thanks for that great experience. Definitely our favorite restaurant on and off the island!

Cute with coastal cuisine. Food was fresh, innovative and delicious. Had a few of the seasonal specials, zucchini blossoms and sablefish. Love the interiors, will be back next time we are on the island.

Beautiful, thoughtfully curated space and menu. The food was lovely and fresh, the service staff is attentive and kind. I’ll definitely come back and be sure to recommend!
