Wonderful, cosy, delightful little place next to the Fulford Harbour ferry terminal on Saltspring Island. The Fisherman’s Breakfast is a definite must. Really great place for breakfast or lunch, and a destination place when on the island!

Rock Salt Cafe has a wonderful menu with tuk tuk bowls and the best burgers !
I recently tried their Humboldt Squid which was nicely breaded and tender, but for my palette they were way too salty.
Wonderful relaxing atmosphere and during the day there’s an incredible view down the harbour.

I had a disappointing experience at Rock Salt Restaurant and Cafe. The server, Carla, was extremely rude and had a bad attitude throughout our visit. It felt like customer service was not a priority, which ruined the dining experience. Definitely not what I expected from a place like this. I hope management addresses this issue.
As a representative of a large construction company and frequent traveler to Salt Spring, I won’t be recommending this place to anyone, and we’ll be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Just had an amazing breakfast with a gorgeous view of the harbour. The potatoes were epic.

wait half an hour for a to go mediocare soup at best. asked the service staff and the response is "i dont know whats on your oder" um.. seems like thats your job.. flies are all over the place and it feels dirty. only thing keeping them in business is lack of competition.

Best fish and best chips I've had in a long time! Local Ling cod did not disappoint. Even the tarragon tartar sauce and Asian coleslaw were delicious! I only wish I had ordered 2 pieces of fish haha.
My husband had the deluxe burger and it was really good, too.

Screwed up order. Wanted to Replace with more expensive item... and no discount for screw up. Just wanting more money. And while screwing up order. Servers ask each other who wants the extra food.... never will go back. And I'm a local of over a decade... good luck!

Exceptional.

I arrived at Fulford Harbour after travelling from Australia, approximately a day of travel.

I was tired, disheveled and in desperate need of good food and coffee.

The waitress that served me went above and beyond to look after me. She answered my questions about the Island, helped me navigate the menu, stored my bags as I went to get supplies from the convenience store.

The food was amazing, the view from the deck was sublime and the service was top tier.

Will be back!

We've eaten here several times over 10+ years. We would still go back, but with a bit more hesitation. Menu is limited but good, with daily dropouts. Service can be slow. Views are excellent from some tables.

I love this place ! Coffee spot opens at 7am which is wonderful if you’re on the early morning ferry. Great food. Fantastic drinks (FULL barista menu - even with matcha and Yerba mate !) GREAT service. Love this spot !
