The butter chicken is horrible. I tried this dish in different places, but this butter chicken is what any chef should be ashamed of. No taste, no flavour. Just piece of fried chicken covered with something, barely reminding a butter sauce. The rice is not even close to basmati, rather cheap sticky sushi rice from the nearest store.
Fish and chips is bland. With no salt or any signs of flavor.
Extremely dissatisfied.
Butter chicken is not a chicken breast covered in butter chicken sauce. Naan bread is not fried and crispy. It's like the chef was given a recipe for a butter chicken sauce but have never actually eaten it. And for the scallops, it appeared the chef was trying to be creative but never actually tried his own food. On top of that, we waited over an hour for our food. This used to be a decent place to eat but no more. We won't be back
Came in here with a friend of mine on Sunday afternoon for a bite to eat while visiting the island and this place did not disappoint. Good food, good service, friendly staff and beautiful location. I'll definitelybe more than happy to come back again. :)
Lovely staff! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere! We visited here on a Saturday afternoon and everything from our meal to our dessert was delicious! :) 100% worth the visit!
This is a classic example of a place that used to be great and is now extremely mediocre. We've been coming here for 10 years and used to enjoy a much wider menu, better service, and more reliable food. But after our most recent experience we won't be back.
The menu has shrunk and all the good items have disappeared. No more cajun dinner salad with steak, no more baby back ribs, no more butter chicken pizza, no more burger and beer for $15 on a Monday. Burgers now seem smaller and if you order salad come with a little cup of green leaves.
They seem obstinately determined to never add anything interesting or mildly new to the menu, and instead slowly are taking everything good away.
We were there on a Monday and there were only two servers who didn't seem to care much about us. It's also extremely loud and stuffy during the winter months. I had to go up to the til to pay otherwise we'd have waited a long time to leave. $60+ for two burgers with salad cups. Meh, nah I won't be back.

All 4 meals left something to be desired... instant sauces, fake maple syrup, slow service, expect when pushing us out the door. Took my son's plate while he was still eating from it.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner at Salt Spring Inn restaurant over New Year's. All aspects were fantastic! Would highly recommend.
While visiting SSI, decided to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner with my daughter and good friends. Sadly the meal was disappointing. The portions were small, there was hardly any gravy and the meal was both lukewarm and cold. Also could not understand why pie/desert was not included in the price of $32 considering how small the portions were. Glass of wine also pricey. $13.50. Huge letdown.
While I generally like dim lighting, it was quite dark in the dining area. Service was friendly and relatively prompt. I had the best crab cakes I've ever had and my husband's shrimp linguine was good, not spectacular, on his words.
The meal was good, but we waited a long time for one meal. We told the waiter that we had to wait a long time. In the end, they said that they had not taken our order and made us wait for a full two hours. This experience made me feel that it was not very good. Maybe it can be improved.

I have ordered twice now recently off the specials sheet (braised pork belly with jicama slaw and black cod/purรฉed fava beans) and they have been so gooooood! I don't usually comment on these forums but wanted to share how great it is. ๐
Had the best fun filled beer on the patio! Such a great spot :)

We confirmed our reservation for 6 people on the patio at noon and were assured there was a space. When we arrived we were told there was no space on the patio because it was a busy day. They scrambled to pull together 3 tables on the patio in a very uncomfortable configuration for my husband, a double leg amputee, and myself awaiting hip replacement. the server had troubles passing things across the table because of the layout. When I make and confirm a reservation I don't expect to be treated like they didn't know I was coming.
