Lovely setting on the west arm of Shawnigan lake. Pub style restaurant with a full, but somewhat limited menu. Cocktails were excellent.

Spectacular views. Vancouver Island is such a beautiful place which is why my uncle moved here from Britain. The seafood is great!

What a fantastic gem located in Shawnigan Lake. This restaurant is worth the drive from Victoria to eat at!It is hard to see from the road, but once you park, the experience begins! They have a large parking area, which is really helpful. You then walk down a few stairs (or can access with a walker / wheelchair via a small road beside the stairs). The views are gorgeous as you approach this lakeside restaurant. The building is beautiful, rustic, and perfectly set up to maximise patrons' views of the water!Staff are lovely, friendly, and attentive! And then, what people really care about - the food! The food was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! Their drinks (mine was non-alcoholic) were so delicious! I loved that they had a decent sized mocktail menu! I love that they have a seasonally changing menu, it means always new things to try!I wish we had room for dessert, but alas, I guess we'll just have to come enjoy it another time!It would be great for a nice night out or a casual meal with kids and friends. Thanks for the fantastic experience!

Came from Winnipeg with my two youngest (teen) daughters, to visit my oldest daughter who lives locally. Seemed like the perfect summer spot for a nice patio dinner. The setting was gorgeous. The service was fair. The food was horrible. Seriously the WORST chicken burger I have ever had. I was astounded at how bad it was. It tasted like it had been leftover and refried, soaked in beef fat and the breading was horrific in texture. Everyone else’s food was less than edible. Nobody could finish anything. We left hungry, having spent almost $150 for four people. We will never eat there again.

Having been to the Lakehouse previously, I reluctantly agreed to meeting a friend there for a drink. Sure enough the greeting was haughty, service was poor and price was outrageous.

I took a friend here whom I had not seen in a while. I was blown away. The food is some of the best I ever had. The seafood chowder is a solid 10 out of 10. My friend had the tuna and said it was some of the best she ever had. The room is nice with great views of the lake. We watched an otter swim by. The service is also excellent and the server was very pleasant and professional. And they have some excellent scotch. I will definitely be going back.

Our server was amazing. The food was tasty but expensive. The wine is very overpriced for sure. We likely won't go back as it's just not affordable. The cost of groceries has gone up for sure but these prices are a couple buck higher than most.

I will be back! Great staff, a perfect location with a beautiful view. I tried a little bit of everything because I went with a big group of people, everything tasted scrumptious! I had a delicious old fashion! Naturally, I had to get this purple hoodie. If you are in the area, this is a must-try. Thank you for an awesome experience!

18 $ for a spritzer ???this is not a high end New York hotel!why would they use their most expensive wine and mix it with soda? at the very least, tell you before mixing itvery unprofessional

Not impressed with the food selection menu for lunch, partners hamburger was completely raw in the middle, he asked for a coffee and they served in a tea cup, really hard for a guy to get a grip on the tiny handle. The Ceasar salad I ordered had basically the greens, dressing and I made the mistake of ordering the smoked meat to accompany it, it was horrible, at least dress it up abit the smoking part made it look raw! If you have any! mobilty issues stay away! The only thing I found impressive was the view

Went for a birthday dinner. The server was prompt . The restaurant wasn’t too busy but the food took a long time to be served. And our meals were served on ice cold plates . Everything was cold .The server was passively agressive and offered to take it back to the kitchen and reheat . The halibut was already dry and overcooked .We are told that they don’t heat their plates ever . So be prepared for cold food and overpriced .
