The Locavore Bar & Grill is a central meeting spot in Squamish, offering consistently nice staff and food, including coffee. The menu features a good sandwich selection with vegetarian options, such as the salmon burger and tofu banh mi, and great veggie salads and burger options. While the food is generally good, some dishes like the banh mi were not fantastic. However, the wedges with garlic aioli were awesome. The restaurant has a good range of beers on tap and a great happy hour and patio. It operates on a self-service model, like a modern suped up cafeteria, so customers shouldn't feel obligated to leave a large tip. The atmosphere is nice with latest pop / dance music playing in the background, and it's a casual dining in a relaxed neighbourhood setting. The restaurant has a playground and large outdoor space, and it's dog-friendly outdoor seating. Parking is available in the shopping plaza across the street.
