Nothing special, the tasting menu could be better. Didn’t like it much and for $29 per person it’s kind of expensive. Service is not that good either, only one girl was nice, sorry for the bad review thanks. Hope they improve their service

Had lunch here. The food was not authentic Malaysian. Just mediocre fusion fare. They charged us an 18% gratuity for 6 people. This was a total cash grab. We paid a total of 42 dollars in tips for lousy service. Tips should not be included under any circumstances as it should be left to the discretion of the diners. The servers get a regular wage like any other store employees and patrons should not be forced to pay for lousy service. Total rip off. Lousy food, lousy service and held to ransom and forced to pay for lousy service. Avoid at all costs!

Fantastic experience at this restaurant, we opted for the 12 course dinner to experience a wide variety of different dishes and we were not disappointed! The service was top notch and the food was even better! Can’t wait to come back!

Came in to have early dinner with my wife and SIL. Our order was taken by Eric, and would really give a special thanks to him for his excellent customer service! The lamb curry was the star for our meal just now, highly recommended! Thank you once again Eric for the help and attention given for our order.

Went there with my wife for date night, as we wanted to try a new place. The food was ok, nothing to write home about though. We found it fairly expensive for what you get. Our sweet sticky rice and mango dessert was a complete disappointment.
What bothered us most was that the wait staff was very eager to clear the table and bring the bill. Felt like they just wanted us out the door although other tables were empty.
That’s great if you’re in a hurry but quite annoying when trying to spend a nice evening out.
All in all a bit disappointed with the experience. We’ll stick to our favourite Asian restaurant where food actually tastes like in East Asia and service is wonderful.

A friend treated me to the lunch tasting menu for my birthday and it was fabulous so the very next day I treated my husband to the dinner tasting menu. I can't decide which one I liked better so we're going to have to go back. Yayyyy!!!!
If you are looking for a delicious Thai restaurant this is the one! The friend that I was visiting with had been to this restaurant before, and highly recommended it. I can see why she continues to visit this location in South Surrey.
The restaurant staff is very attentive and kind. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are often checked and kept up to standard.
There's a variety of food selections, and they also have daily specials and 10/12 course meals shared between two people to try their are most popular items on the menu.
Banana Leaf is definitely a wonderful restaurant to visit for authentic flavors that are made with care and love. I definitely will be visiting again!
