Went there with my wife for date night, as we wanted to try a new place. The food was ok, nothing to write home about though. We found it fairly expensive for what you get. Our sweet sticky rice and mango dessert was a complete disappointment.
What bothered us most was that the wait staff was very eager to clear the table and bring the bill. Felt like they just wanted us out the door although other tables were empty.
That’s great if you’re in a hurry but quite annoying when trying to spend a nice evening out.
All in all a bit disappointed with the experience. We’ll stick to our favourite Asian restaurant where food actually tastes like in East Asia and service is wonderful.

A friend treated me to the lunch tasting menu for my birthday and it was fabulous so the very next day I treated my husband to the dinner tasting menu. I can't decide which one I liked better so we're going to have to go back. Yayyyy!!!!

If you are looking for a delicious Thai restaurant this is the one! The friend that I was visiting with had been to this restaurant before, and highly recommended it. I can see why she continues to visit this location in South Surrey.
The restaurant staff is very attentive and kind. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are often checked and kept up to standard.
There's a variety of food selections, and they also have daily specials and 10/12 course meals shared between two people to try their are most popular items on the menu.
Banana Leaf is definitely a wonderful restaurant to visit for authentic flavors that are made with care and love. I definitely will be visiting again!

ordered the passion fruit cocktail, but it was too sweet at first. The staff was very kind and adjusted it twice until the flavor was perfect. I also ordered the curry and lobster tail — both were delicious.

Love the food here but it was chaotic tonight for Mother’s Day. It appeared that nobody was in charge, dirty tables, bar area was a mess, long line up of people outside, and they ran out of dishes. We were there at 4:30 and were still waiting for food at 6pm. We left. The staff need training and there needs to be a manager in charge on the floor. The food is very good.

Updating my review to reflect the most recent experience. Mother's Day 2025. Waited 40 min for online order which they somehow lost due to disorganization. The lady TOOK MY PHONE FROM MY HAND and walked away with it to the cashier. I watched her re-enter the order and come back to tell me it'll take 10-15 minutes and have the audacity to ask me to pay first. So unprofessional and poorly managed. Don't come here during busy periods they will ruin your holiday

He was incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive—making sure the kids were comfortable and we had everything we needed.
