Amazing customer service. The whole staff went above and beyond with our group. We were at the restaurant for a rakhi celebration and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

Website says they open at 4. Google says 6. Called them at 405 and 410, no answer. Went there at 555 and servers were still setting up tables. Come 605, door was still not open though staff can see us standing outside. Called the resto twice, no answer so we left. We later found that they had an event and were closed until 7pm. Typically, there would be a sign at the front door stating this, or staff would let us know when they saw us standing outside, but nope!

Also, thr little mice running outside also told us it was best to eat somewhere else.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this one deserves it. The food was poorly cooked and lacked any taste. The staff seemed disinterested and untrained. With a little effort, this place could be much better.

If you're looking for flavor and basic hospitality, this isn’t the place. The food was a total letdown, and the service was painfully slow and careless. Never going back.

Worst experience. Cold, tasteless food and service staff who seemed least interested in attending to guests. Complete waste of time and money.

Honestly, the food was bland and not worth the price. The service was just as bad—unresponsive and careless. Definitely not a place I’d recommend unless major improvements are made.

The dal had a small stone in it .

My teeth is still having the sensation of the stone that I chewed.

I am a very regular diner here. Although it’s expensive but we love the food .
This time the experience has been a bit off track .

Something has changed , the kadhai paneer had paneer missing , very less quantity.

The roti wasn’t that great either . It was burnt and hard .

They took off the gratuity but they didn’t cared to take off the cost of the dal. The restaurant charged us for the food and then gratuity and then did a matching deduction of the gratuity amount . We brought $170 food .

Ideally they should have taken off the cost of the dal and then apply gratuity .

Anyway, over all a bad taste today otherwise the food is great .

The restaurant is just for ambiance. Food is absolutely disgusting. No taste or flavours. Really blend food. Felt like a chef that has never tasted indian food making the dishes. My butter chicken tasted worse then the butter chicken you would make from the supermarket butter chicken sauce. Just overpriced disgusting tasting food. We left half our meals uneaten.

We visited The Clove to celebrate a birthday for our twins with a group of 8. The ambience was pleasant, but the overall experience was underwhelming. The food was average and overpriced, with limited options on the menu.

What stood out most was the lack of any complimentary gesture or acknowledgment for the birthday, which felt disappointing given the size of the booking and the occasion.

While the setting was nice, the value and service did not meet expectations. Not a place we’d recommend for special events.

Disappointing Experience for a Special Occasion

We visited Clove Indian Restaurant in Surrey for a birthday lunch, expecting a good time, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. The dahi bhalle we ordered tasted off — clearly not fresh, with an unpleasant sourness that made it inedible. We brought this to the waitress’s attention, and she offered to replace it with paneer tikka, which we appreciated. However, we were surprised to see that we were still charged for everything on the final bill — both the bad dish and the replacement.

On top of that, the overall service and food were disappointing. There was a lack of attention to detail, and it didn’t feel like the staff cared much about customer experience.

For a place that seems to market itself as a fine dining option, the quality just didn’t match the expectations — especially for a special occasion. Wouldn’t recommend it based on our visit.

Plenty of dining space. The ambience just reminded me of the restaurants in Bangalore. Food was really good. I really liked their Vegetable Biriyani which was very well balanced with spices. Staff were very friendly. Overall very nice experience.

The food tastes horrible. Paneer Pasanda seems was barely cooked. Not only the food but also the service was disgusting, Salad and curd was presented on our table after our food was almost finished.

We always choose to celebrate our special occasions here, and it’s because of the incredible experience we have every time. Ash, the manager, consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His warm hospitality and attention to detail are truly unmatched. He’s absolutely amazing, and it’s people like him who make this place so special!
