“In the past we have experienced the same as other customers have mentioned, being dismissed to serve Polish customers ahead of us but during the past few visits, that has not been an issue and a couple of the employees have been friendlier and smiled.Buns are always good quality as are the ham and cheese. I've purchased desserts here once and they were tasty and "fresh".They used to carry cheese stuffed peppers but unfortunately no longer do.There should be one worker accepting payments only, as their sole job, while the others slice deli and serve buns. This would be much more hygienic and efficient.“
“Nice market, has a reasonable amount of selection of Eastern European goods and deli meats. It's hard to get to the location and not much for parking. The prices were higher than I'm used to paying for most things but I guess that makes sense with inflation. It's a really tight space but they work well with what they have.“
“The store is now open again! May 20th, 2023This is a small neighborhood Polish deli selling some Polish/European groceries, baked goods, as well as meats and sausages. Fresh bread and pastries tend to be delivered there in the early afternoon instead of in the morning. They also ship to Poland.“
“Sandra makes the BEST platters! I ordered a mixed meat/cheese/veggie platter with buns and absolutely everyone loved it! There was literally nothing left. I strongly recommend Altmaerker for their meats, cheeses, and German goodies. High five, Sandra! You outdid yourself! Thank you!“
“What a great find. My family and I have lived in Sapperton for 1.5 years. We always passed by Greens and Beans, not realizing what a great locale it is. My wife and I were out for a morning walk and decided to stop in to try the coffee. That turned into a sandwich and soup, and a promise to be regulars. A little toy train delivers your food, too. 10/10.“
“My favorite Port Moody neighborhood deli, from freshly made breads, buns, sausages and pierogies. All manner of European canned, jarred and boxed items can be found here as well. I do recommend you view the displays and items if you get a chance. Check their selection out, hard to find a place that takes as much pride in their products.Parking: Few spots in their lot, plenty of street parking.“
“Ordered the Pork Lemongrass banhmi on UberEats — never had a bahnmi before. First of all, it’s perfectly packaged that I had to snap a photo before I tore into it. This sandwich was such a flavorbomb. The tender pork pieces against the fresh crunchy vegetables were a textural delight! The unique flavor of the lemongrass was very refreshing & paired nicely with the savoryness of the pork. The BREAD was so fresh & had the perfect crispy softness, if that makes sense. The size of the sandwich, the quality of ingredients, you cannot get that anywhere else for that price. The price is what initially lured me to purchase & Im so glad I tried it!! It didn’t taste commercialized/processed…. Tasted like an authentic homemade sandwich with fresh ingredients. The pork springroll was tasty as well. I thought it would come with 2 (as seen in picture) but after my filling banh mi, Im glad it was only 1!“
