Masala Hut [Dosa & Indian street eats]

We are a family of four who came and eat. We got 2 lamb masala dosa, fish and fries. 3 of us didn’t like the lamb dosa because it was very salty, the test were okay. They tried to make amends which is why I’m giving them 2 stars. They barely came in to check if we needed anything, we had to ask them or wait for them to pass by whenever we needed something.

We went here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago, ordered chilly cheese dosa, noodles dosa. Noodles dosa was not good, noodles were stale/tasted weird… informed the server & she acknowledged saying ‘oh’ but didn’t offer an apology or try to fix the dish. We only ate 1 dosa, paid for 2. I won’t recommend to anyone.

Used to love going here, but it’s not the same at all. Quality and customer service has gone done a lot here. Owners keep putting prices up, while reducing serving sizes and quality of the food.
Zero eye contact when serving you, and consistency of the food isn’t the same either. Please return to your old food, service and quality

Idli, vada and rava dosa were good with the sambar.
Papdi chaat was pretty bad.
The "Madras coffee" was not "Madras filter coffee". It was just Nescafe or some other instant coffee.

I absolutely love Dosa and this are the best we’ve ever had! Plus, prices are super reasonable. I loved everything about this place.
We went here for dinner on October 14th 2024, Thanksgiving Day. I had Paneer Cheese Dosa and loved it. My family had the regular Masala Dosa and Spicy Masala Dosa and they liked theirs too. I wanted to try something else but ran out of belly space :) Super friendly and helpful staff as well. When you go in, there's a surprisingly modern setup with incredibly friendly service staff waiting to take your order. The food was delicious. Absolutely worth a stop by if you're in the area. Check them out, you'll be a regular in no time! Every bite is packed with quality and flavor.
Food is highly recommended, the best Dosa in town. Overall nice experience. We ordered regular Gulab Jamun and Rabdi Gulab Jamun in dessert, but Rabdi Gulab Jamun was not as expected. Rabdi was too diluted and looked like Jamun in tea. I'm not going to give 4 star just coz of Rabdi, since everything else was beyond expectation.

Excellent service and good authentic south indian taste. We ordered Methu Vada and kesari and it was so good just like home cooked food. The manager Kesavan was so accommodative to our needs and taste. Highly recommend.

AWESOME indian restaurant low key setting and atmosphere that we as a family visit many times a year when we travel to Surrey, and always leave with a food coma because everything is very filling. Always get the mango lassi or two and the potato masala and the lamb spinach dosa. Great burst of flavours and a lot of sides that come with: delicious hot and mildy spicy soup, sauce, and the lamb is the perfect soft but not too soft texture and is also mildly spicy. Mango lassi is very creamy. Highly recommend flawless and delicious indian cuisine at an unbeatable price.

This dosa spot is hands down the best in the Lower Mainland—I've tried them all in lower mainland, and nothing comes close.

The food is incredible (must try authentic dosas and sambar, but what truly sets this place apart is the staff.
They’ve been here since day one, and they remember my order every time, which shows just how well-managed this place is.
The manager frequently comes around to check in, adding a personal touch that makes you feel right at home.

It’s rare to find a restaurant where the team stays consistent and the service just keeps getting better.

Stopped by en route to YVR airport - conveniently off highway 99. A special treat of paper dosa and chicken 65. Service was competent, friendly and quick. Clean restaurant with nice photos of places in India and their specialties
