i go here like 1-3 times a week. the food is yummy - best katsu i've ever had - and huge portions. when i first started coming here last year, service was very kind and chill. i am not someone who requires my waitress to smile and curtsy and ask about my day but the one girl who always be wearing plaid and looking unhappy makes my eating experience so awkward. she barks at you when u ask for stuff after your initial order and slams food down in front of you. what's up...
I love everything that I ordered today, the pork katsu and shrimp curry was amazing, so crunchy, and with the sauce plus the sesame seeds that you grinded yourself while you waited for the meal to come, it smelled good and fresh. I also like the cabbage salad with its sauce and miso soup on the side. Although to me it's a bit pricier than other restaurants, I left the place feeling full and satisfied.
Admittedly wasn't expecting much when I came in here but it ended up being really good. Nice and crispy and juicy tonkatsu, decent prices. Probably my favorite place in the Guildford area now.
