When my pho finally arrived, I found a strand of a woman’s hair in it. Since I had another appointment, I didn’t bother complaining and just ate quickly before leaving.
Has this place been sold to a new owner? The service and staff used to be great, but this visit felt completely different.

I come all the time, we were their regular customer and we always would dine- in and after that we would take out. Today we are very disappointed with the way they we’re treating us, ZERO customer service. All we did was to ask to sit in the corner because we are not comfortable to sit right in the center of the restaurant and one of the server said that they cannot let us sit in the corner becuase they worry a large amount of customers would come in and I also gave them a chance and ask the other server and she told me the same thing. Am sorry but if you guys were to reserve the table with a sign or have people sit there already, I totally understand but all your table in the corner were mostly available. Anyway, they were our to go place, now definitely not, we will NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN.

This is my go to pho place,I've eaten at many pho restaurants and sadly this is one of the last with quality food. We went tonight for our wedding anniversary,my husband and five kids at 6 pm,usual dinner time. For some reason,the employees started to clean and all we could smell was bleach and cleaning chemicals. The smell was overwhelming, literally could taste the chemicals in my dish. I would recommend that cleaning should start after peak dinner hours please! If you expect mandatory gratuity tips then please let us enjoy the meal we are paying good money for without CHEMICALS wafting around us! Clean the bathrooms when it's closer to closing time,not peak hours like dinner time!! Also this place is mandatory gratuity, which is illegal.

I always go here whenever i crave for pho, it was my first visit this year. I usually come here with my friend but when I asked her to go with me she declined because she said the last time we went there staff were very rude and unfriendly. I didnt mind, i still went. Friday at 2:40 pm, i went there by myself. The lady just gave me the usual; water, chopsticks, spoon, napkins, bean sprouts and all that stuff. I placed my order, gave my food and ever since then they never bothered to ask me anything anymore not even a refill of water. Here’s the funny part, my bill was $24.90 i gave a $50 cash and the change they gave me was a $20 bill and $5 change. Do they expect me to give them a tip with that shitty service? This isn’t the first time they did this, they were also rude when I went here with my friend. Which makes me so upset. Especially that skinny girl whose wearing black sweatshirt Friday, Jan 17,2025 at 240 pm. Cant remember if she was wearing glasses. Anyways now i understand her why she didn’t want to come back here. Ive been to other pho place but they weren’t like this. Very rude and unprofessional

Decent Lemongrass chicken and egg rice. The restuarant is quite spacious, meaning it can be harder to call over a waitress. For the price, it's good value id say. If you're in the area looking for pho, give it a shot.

I visited Pho 99 in the evening mainly because it’s conveniently close to Shoppersmart. The place seemed quite busy, even after 8 PM, with plenty of diners still enjoying their meals. I ordered their classic pho, a traditional spring roll, a hot Vietnamese French coffee, and a mungo smoothie.
The pho was pretty standard—not bad, but nothing exceptional that stood out. The spring rolls were fresh and seemed homemade, with generous fillings, but again, the flavor was just average. The hot French coffee was decent, but there wasn’t anything memorable about it either.
As for the pricing, with inflation and rising costs, it came to about $25 per person, which is reasonable given the current market. Would I go back? Maybe, but it’s not necessarily a place I’d make a special effort to revisit. It’s a decent spot if you’re in the area and craving Vietnamese food, but nothing groundbreaking.

My husband & I ate here for dinner. I was craving lemongrass chicken. I ordered it with vermicelli noodles. The presentation was good but the flavor of the chicken was a bit off it was missing a spice I tried dousing it with the special fish sauce they give you but it didn't do the trick. I was quickly disappointed & my craving was quickly shutdown! They gave me a side of the soup broth & that was good.The fried spring rolls was also flavorless!! My husband ordered the spicy beef pho & the flavour of the broth was ok but again the beef had no flavor in it ... I will give this restaurant another try & maybe order something else on the menu but I'm hoping they put more flavour in their chicken dishes. Marinate it in more spices!! Overall I give them 3 stars. The service was pretty good at least!
