Went here for breakfast for the first time today. First impressions were positive. It's a small diner with parking in the rear. There is a rear entrance which helps. Friendly service. Good food. Serving size was good. Price was amazing. A hidden gem! Will return and try their lunch next time you ??

A great new discovery for me. The Prairie Cafe @ 15280 Fraser Higway in Surrey is literally a true whole in the wall. Today I order one of their breakfast special - a Meat Lovers' Cheese Omlette with came with hashbrowns and toast. A great deal at $10.99. The food was hot, tasty, larger portions and good deal. Checked them out. Their lunches from burgers to clubhouses all costing around $10.99. The homemade soups especially the wonton soup are unbelievable. Run for the past 20 years by a friendly golf obsessed husband Jaepyo and his cook wife Sookhee. The Prairie Cafe has been in the same spot since 1949.

Nice and quaint breakfast joint for delicious breakfast fare that isn't greasy or overpowered with saltiness. Family-run restaurant with super-polite staff and friendly vibe. Though being a smaller and older place, everything is nice, clean, and tidy.My wife tried the Sausage and Cheese Omelette while I had Pancakes with eggs/bacon/sausage/ham. Wife loved the omelette, especially with the fact that they used breakfast sausage (some places use Garlic or Polish Sausage with the tougher casing). She also found the omelette to be fluffy and light, and the cheese to be perfectly stringy. My breakfast was perfectly portioned. I appreciated that the meats weren't doused in oil or grease but were still delicious. Pancakes were also fluffy and not too dense, allowing the syrup to soak in.We are very glad we tried this place and we can now see why this is a neighborhood gem.

Prairie Cafe has homestyle cooked comfort food, nice sized portions, efficient, friendly service and reasonable prices. Easily accessible with plenty of parking close by. If you're in the mood for a nostalgic, low key dining experience, this is place.
We do love this "hole in the wall" cafe. The family who own it are very friendly. All their food is good, however, we do prefer their Korean especially their dumplings. They have plenty of regulars who we see all the time. I recommend going during the week, it can be too busy at the weekend. The parking isn't great so we park near the Safeway and walk over. They have specials, be sure to read the notice near the checkout. What can they do better - their breakfasts include processed meats to keep the costs down so I would avoid if that's an issue for you.

Never noticed this place in the time I've driven around this area but, definitely a good experience going here for the first time. Fairly small cafe, clean friendly staff and very reasonable prices.Had the meat lover's omelette, wonton noodle bowl, chicken teriyaki and side of pancakes. All the items were really good. Hash was really crispy, chicken in the teriyaki was really tender and right amount of flavor, wontons and noodles pretty good as well. Pancakes were one of the better ones we've had too. Surprisingly, my favorite was these two grapes that came with the dish, probably the best two pieces of grapes I've ever had. It's weird but, I'll definitely be asking for more next time.Unfortunate I'll only be able to come back on the weekends but, definitely coming back!

My boyfriend said it was the best french toaste he's ever had. My chicken clubhouse was okay but the amount of meat was small compared to the sandwhich. The atomosphere was awkward since we were the only one's dining on a weekday morning. Would come back for good food and good value

It's a hole in the wall restaurant with extremely reasonable prices. Very casual interior, looks a bit unfinished. The breakfast food tastes good and standard, nothing amazing. I'll come again
