Had a birthday dinner there recently, this is one of those Golden days style restaurants, home made style, cook to order, tastes were excellent. Servers were great, I ask if they have birthday cake I can order for the friend that has the birthday, they surprise us with a dessert with candle and sang happy birthday to us. A gem of a place, will go back for sure.

Straight to the point ...change the deep fryer grease ...Calamari, on-top of being frozen ... completely lacking the tentacle portion of the squid...tasted like mediocre burnt or near burnt grease , rice ...very poor but edible ....my lamb was good ....but ya ..overall disappointing Only reason I didn't complain in house ...the person I was with ...wouldn't let me

Do better ....change the grease ...and leave the frozen ...in Walmart

The Missus and I along with two family outlaws had a pleasant dinner at the Royal Oak Restaurant. The Missus had visited Royal Oak Pizza in Burnaby many moons ago. The decor inside projects a 1980’s Greek restaurant vibe. The server was friendly and prompt with taking our orders. Our dishes were above average in taste and value priced. There was ample parking in the rear which was very convenient. A nice visit if in the area.

I had souvlacky very good came with rice potatoes, Greek salad pita bread, and tajiki sauce . The tastes were delitful and vegetables very fresh, I enjoyed watching a hockey game as well .
As a loyal patron of 19 years, I have consistently supported your establishment through both dine-in and takeout services. This evening's order, which included baked spaghetti, chicken souvlaki, and Greek salad, unexpectedly contained a ring, posing a significant health and safety risk. Following immediate notification, the restaurant confirmed a kitchen employee had lost the ring. Upon return of the meal, a full refund was negotiated, despite the restaurant initially offering only a $30 credit for an $80 order. While the host offered an apology, the owners, who were present during the refund process, did not. This lack of accountability and ownership regarding the incident and the quality of service provided is deeply concerning and will unfortunately result in my discontinuing patronage.

I went to this restaurant a couple weeks ago with 4 other ladies. I suggested we go there because I have always enjoyed the food. Most of us ordered the chicken souvlaki with Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was tiny and the romaine lettuce was more white than green. When our meals arrived most of us took a couple bites then asked for a takeout box. My friends and I didn’t like the taste of the food or that everything on our plates was floating in oil. The food was so oily that the tatziki sauce wouldn’t even stay on the food, it just slid off. Most of us took 3/4 of the meal home. The server was really nice, maybe too nice. She spent so much time at our table and got involved in all our conversations, we hardly had any time to talk amongst ourselves, I am surprised she didn’t pull up a chair.
