“We had a great experience at Shipwreck Pizza! Definitely had a locals vibe with only a few tables being tourists! Our server was amazing! She worked the whole front of the restaurant and the bar herself! I wish I had got her name but it was a Tuesday which is one of her only days she works! She was welcoming, friendly and efficient! The restaurant is small and has a great cozy vibe! Our beer was served in a frosted beer mug and was delicious! It was a local red ale from Ukee brewing! The pizza was great and very filling! We ordered 2 larger for 3 of us and only ate 1! We would definitely return! It was a great experience

“We’ve had a blast performing at Eagle’s Nest Pub. Jo and the rest of the staff were so friendly to us. The food was amazing. The drinks were delicious and just an overall fun atmosphere. We’d definitely come back if they’d have us.”

“I ordered the chicken strips and waffle fries and man did it deliver. The chicken was juicy on the inside and the batter was amazing. As a fry fiend I can say these are in my top three for waffle fries. Portions were great. The only downside was not having more than 1 picnic table but taking your food to eat at the beach isn't all bad either.”

“By far the best food we had in a weekend trip to Ucluelet. The Beef Brisket and all the fixings including some delicious cornbread were all house made and delicious. The Rib Eye burger and fries were outstanding. Frankie was manning the place by himself but was quick with service and checking in regularly to see if we needed anything. We bought some of the homemade hot sauce and it was massive. If you're in town this place is a must.”

“Was pretty busy and pretty crowded. The front lady greeted us with a smile but the cooks when asked how long the wait was for a sandwich didnt pay me or the server any mind. So ended up only getting coffee. Pretty good coffee just wish the cook was friendly or at least took some time to tell us how long it was gonna take otherwise worth a visit as it’s a cafe with seating”

“Sake Sushi is the one & only sushi sashimi spot in the ocean village of Ucluelet.
It certainly is impressive in this role, making fresh & imaginative dishes of both, & in all the Japanese food categories; some sushi sashimi combos, as well as a nice selection of bowls.
All the offerings from Sake Sushi I have had have been fresh & delicious.
At lunch time it also offers a selection of bento boxes.
It is open all days but Tuesday for both lunch & dinner, with lunch from 11:30 am to just after 2 pm, then closing until 5pm when it opens for dinner, closing @ 10 pm.
It offers complimentary green tea, which its great servers, Michelle & Jennifer, top up & keep hot.
It has a number of craft beers on tap, which are 9$, a little more than the 8$ or less a pint, which is more common @ surrounding places.
As well, it offers Sake options, as would be expected.
The service from Michelle & Jennifer is excellent with them both showing patience with restless & noisy children, who come to eat & play @ its indoor play area.
It also does takeout.

“Was at Howlers’s on tues Aug 20/2024. They were slammed and we had to wait quite awhile for our food but we’re not disappointed. Caesar salad was one of the best I have had with fresh pea shoots and not overdressed. Amazing clam chowder. My son said his deer burger was juicy and delicious. Staff were so friendly even though very busy.”

“Staying at the hotel as a guest and wanted to order food for takeout. I called the restaurant to enquire about vegan options and the server was kind enough to check repeatedly with the kitchen what could be made vegan. Apart from salads, the risotto can be made vegan and is quite yummy - it has mushrooms and cauliflower. I must say the bill was a little pricey for the portion size especially considering there is no room service and you have to pick up your food from the restaurant yourself.

I hope there will be more options in the future.”

“Great experience. Food was super fresh tasting and didn’t make me feel yucky afterwards. I had the Mexican breakfast. Cool vibe and looked to be quite popular with tons of folks coming in at 12:00. Next time for sure will try one of the many gourmet hot dogs amd poutine.”
