Staying at the hotel as a guest and wanted to order food for takeout. I called the restaurant to enquire about vegan options and the server was kind enough to check repeatedly with the kitchen what could be made vegan. Apart from salads, the risotto can be made vegan and is quite yummy - it has mushrooms and cauliflower. I must say the bill was a little pricey for the portion size especially considering there is no room service and you have to pick up your food from the restaurant...
Service and atmosphere were 5 stars truly enjoyed the view, room and friendly staff. Probably would have enjoyed myself more if I ordered something else but I settled on fish and chips since it sounds like they use local ling cod. Pretty disappointing I mean it was fine I didn’t complain or send it back but at this class of restaurant and that price point I feel the quality should be better than what you get at the jiggers food truck. Not the case sadly frozen fries tasted like...
Third time staying at Black Rock Resort, third time eating at this establishment. Again, a lacklustre experience. The food is ok at best, but should be much better considering the cost. The Caesar salad that accompanied our burger/sandwich was soaking in dressing. I don’t know why we decided to eat here again after the first couple experiences, but it came down to wanting to unwind after the day of driving. Also, you can’t beat the view — it is the hilight of the dining...
