Amazing views and sunsets plus incredible storm watching. New, modern, clean rooms with everything you need from kitchen with dishwasher to rain shower to relaxing in the bathtub to cozying by the fireplace to temperature regulated with heat pump to hot tub soaking right beside the ocean to yummy food at the restaurants with views. Having the Wild Pacific trail adjacent to the resort is awesome. Absolutely love it here…it is our happy place 💕
Disappointing lunch, stunning views.
Two or us ordered the SBLT (Scallop BLT). Item was described as a seared scallop BLT on a Kaiser bun with lemon aioli.
Much to our surprise the “bay” scallops, all four of them, looked like they were steamed and had zero seasoning on them let alone any hint of a sear. The “lemon” aioli was no more than a regular and scant dollop of mayo. There was absolutely no lemon flavour at all. The lettuce was chopped iceberg lettuce, the cheapest of cheap and the tomatoes were horribly mealy. (I will allow this as it’s winter an out of season)
The bacon resembled microwave bacon, hard and brittle.
While all of this was disappointing, the absolute worst part was that the whole thing was not served on a toasted kaiser bun but a thin toasted hotdog bun with so much butter it was soggy by the time it got to us.
None of the food stayed on the bun when you closed it and the scallops fell out nearly every single bite.
I’d be disappointed if I paid $15 for this let alone $30.
The calamari rings, which states they come with dusted jalapeño rings were missing from the plate entirely. The calamari was decent and the additional of a charred lemon was nice.
I think the server even knew she was handing out subpar food as she never came back once to ask how everything was.
The second star was for the fries which were actually quite good.
For a meal of $150 total I would not set foot in this establishment again.
Unfortunate because years ago we went and it was much better.

A searing disappointment
The scalloped BLT promised a west coast twist on a classic, but delivered only letdown. Described as served up on a toasted Kaiser arrived on a stale hot dog bun split in two. “Seared” scallops, pale and underdone, resting atop limp, shredded head lettuce with plain mayonnaise masquerading as lemon aioli sealed the disappointment. Each bite collapsed in the hands, ingredients fleeing the bread.
The yam fries were the lone bright spot, though not bright enough. With slow service in an empty restaurant and no mid-meal check-in, this sandwich, and likely the restaurant, earns a resounding pass.

Bad lunch food
But good view
We celebrated our anniversary at this establishment and really enjoyed our dinner, the service and the atmosphere. I had the wild mushroom linguine and it was FANTASTIC! My husband had the steak and thought it was perfectly cooked and delicious. 😋
Our service was exceptional. They made us feel really special. We just had the best night. Thank you to the staff for your generosity and attention to detail!

Had beverages here when first arriving as well as dinner. Seated in the patio that was enclosed for the season. It offered amazing views and lots of natural sunshine. The local beer, cider, wine and liquors was amazing to see!
Dinner was amazing! The cocktails on point and delicious!
Service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We didn't feel pressured or rushed and rather a very relaxed atmosphere. Which we found very enjoyable.
The steak frites and bone-in pork chop with the mustard sauce was mouth watering good! Highly recommend either option.
The berry margarita and chilli basil cocktail were both incredibly good!

Had the Maple Pepper Salmon at Currents and it was outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly—moist, flaky, and full of flavour. The maple-pepper glaze and maple lemon butter gave it a rich, balanced sweetness without being heavy. The roasted fingerling potatoes and seasonal vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned. Overall, one of the best salmon dishes I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

The only complaint that I have is that they couldn't arrange for it to be light outside long enough for us to enjoy the view! Excellent cocktails, food and service though, will have to come back in the Spring or Summer.

Lighting was too bright, service was very slow. Food was just ok, not good enough for the price. We found it more worth the enjoyment and time to go to Tofino for food
