49th Parallel Café & Lucky's Doughnuts - MAIN

As someone from Berlin, I was curious to see what a Berliner would taste like in Canada. The one I tried was pretty good — not too sweet. I particularly liked the filling, but a traditional Berliner is slightly fluffier. The flat white was also excellent.

Very cute coffee shop! Enjoyed the ambiance and the coffee was pretty good. Nothing special but definitely nice place to chill at.

While the donuts are always great and I enjoyed my ginger Chai latte, the service was pretty bad today. The server was rude and tried to tell me chai isn't tea, it's powder. Chai literally translates to tea. You may need to check staff have a basic understanding of tea and coffee and aren't rude to customers.

What a gem 🔥 They have our favourite donuts! Coffee is very well brewed and the baked goods are amazing. If they ever have the crème brule donuts available dont even think twice. Absolutely to die for

I made a quick stop at this cafe and tried the brown sugar doughnuts. While I can't comment on the other food and drinks, I thought they were just okay. However, I really enjoyed the cute and cozy atmosphere!

I've been to Lucky's a number of times for donuts. If you're going for the classics (sprinkled glaze or an old fashion glazed), you can't go wrong. They always deliver on those.

However I'll say I've had better donuts if you venture into some of their more liberal flavours. They seem to be hit or miss, unfortunately.

On top of that, their prices are on the high side for donuts. I wouldn't expect that any donut should cost close to $6, but here we are.

With that said, the staff are always lovely and the atmosphere & ambience is always great. I will continue to come back for the classics!

You get a donut to go and they toss them in a bag. Most donuts they sell have been dipped on one side which will stick to the side of bag, forever lost.

For being such a dope place with really friendly employees, well made coffee, and tasty donuts, it blows my mind that such a clear inconsideration has been taken. Maybe theres some logic im not seeing, but its pretty lame that i lose half my donut every time i take one to go.

I'm personally not a fan of fruitier coffees, which is what most of them are. If that is your preference, then this is the place for you.

Their donuts are top-notch though!! Their sour-cream cake donut is the perfect balance of cake and crisp which is what I love in a donut. It's the main reason why I'm writing a four-stars review instead of three- stars.

If they are able to incorporate more chocolate-y decadent notes in their coffee they would be able to take over the world one coffee at a time.
