Nice staff. Really good brownie. Good sandwich selection.

We order some “fresh” croissants with ham and cheese. They didn’t feel fresh and the filling was almost non-existent. They totally cheapest out on the filling. Maybe 20% ham coverage. Seriously? A tourist trap?

A Bread Affair makes excellent food, always fresh, flavorful, and high quality. Unfortunately, during my last visit the cashier at the front had very noticeable body odor, and it wasn’t just me who noticed, other customers around seemed uncomfortable as well. When working in a food establishment, especially while serving customers, maintaining personal cleanliness is really important.

The food is outstanding, but I’d recommend management consider a clear hygiene policy (such as ensuring staff wear deodorant) so the service experience reflects the same high standard as the food.

Everything in this bakery is amazing from the many varieties of bread to sandwiches and pastry. My favorite bread are the Marquis and olive bread! Excellent service. Sunita is professional and kind like the others. Go and visit this bakery in Granville island.

My favourite place on Granville Island for its commitment to community, sustainability, and the artisan craft of baking. I’ve met Tanya personally, their baker, and she’s a joy to speak with. Always looking out for others with a kind soul and heart. I support this bakery fully knowing how dedicated she is to her craft and continued community service. Their breads, loaves, and pastries are incredible. Best sour dough that I’ve ever had, with tomatoes, basil, arugula, goat cheese, olive oil, some garlic, and a sprinkle of pepper.

Will be a returning customer and local :)

The blue berry scone was delicious. Perhaps one of the best in Vancouver. The crispy exterioir texture was amazing, while the moist spongy interior was the perfect balance to the outer shell. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Only place I buy bread. I added my numbers, and I spend a few hundred a month here for good reason. Only knock on this place is the bread loafs are sold out sometimes by 4! I get it tho, very popular place . We need another location in east Vancouver/ Burnaby! Huge supporter of this place love the ancient grain and the cheeky.

Quality ingredients 🌟 It’s been a while since coming to Granville Island, coming in brought back good memories of visiting years ago with family ☺️ this bakery utilizes organic flour and has loaves of bread, delicious pastries, savoury baked goods etc. I came for the croissant crawl Everything Seasoning bagel cream cheese croissant 🥐 and left with extra pastries 🤣 the butter croissant and double baked pistachio croissant 🥐 is so scrumptious 😋 the staffs are lovely, great energy 💓 There aren’t seats inside but right outside is where performers usually are~ a must visit on Granville Island!!

Very disappointed with the corporate side. Been trying to communicate with a staff for a role who called me and apparently left already and was given the intern’s name for communication, provided my contact number cos he’s in a meeting as of 1030am yday, i never got the called back. In this tough job market, i hope people understand the importance of having the decency of calling up whether that role has been filled or not. Honestly, the phrase “he’s in a meeting” is a well abused excuse for people who have no interest of engaging. A callback is the bare minimum every applicant deserves in this saturated job market.

Cute bakery in a busy area apt for picking up bread, baked goods or sandwiches.
The pistachio croissant was quite sweet but tasty. Ham and cheese croissant could use more ham.
Enjoyed the lavendar+hibiscus shortbread pack. Would go back for more. The price is on the higher side.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sandwiches available.

I'm so sorry I didn't click a picture of the cookie but trust me, it's one of the best in town I've ever had and especially the density of the cookie was commendable. Must get the cookie from here.

Everything I've tried here has been fresh and delicious. The location is perfect on Granville Island and way less hectic and crowded compared to food options inside the market. They staff are friendly and always happy to make a recommendation. They may be known for bread and pastries but they also have sandwiches!

Kid-friendliness: My kids love the croissants.
