when i come to a market i expect good food, good drinks, and good service. none were present. we walk up, order from the lady, which was a little hasty, but nothing compared to what was to come. we get our matcha lattes, take a sip. pure shock, it was vile. powdery, bitter, grassy. i love matcha, so trust i know what im saying. we ask for them to add some syrup in to maybe help? didn’t. at all. anyways we continue on thinking this has to be the worst. no. our mac and cheese pie comes out FROZEN in the middle after waiting 7 minutes. like r we dead🥀 so we bring it back saying its frozen, and what do they do, put it in the MICROWAVE. do not come here. as im writing this my stomach is feeling something coming on too…

There are seats very closed to the store. Perfect place for our breakfast. We shared different hot pie and all of them taste amazing. They are balanced well and my favorite was clam hot pie.

This place is ridiculously busy and for good reason. If I could try everything I certainly would.
The line up was long and never stopped.
We had the chicken pot pie and the lemon meringue pie. Both were amazing.
The chicken pot pie crust was flaky and buttery, the soup inside was sooo creamy and had giant chucks of chicken along with some mushrooms. Just amazing. Made you want to lick the bowl.
The lemon meringue pie was too delicious. It was warm instead of cold, probably because of the high turnover. Just mouth watering.

This should be on everyone’s list for Grenville Island. We had the clam chowder and chicken pot pie. Really good food! Good variety of options sweet and savoury. They do get busy but they are quick.

Delicious food and fast service. The pot pie varieties can allow for everyone to try something that they will like, and the workers are very friendly!
The pies look amazing, and this place does a brisk business. We were excited to try some of the vegan and GF pies listed on their website. But once we got thru the long line, we discovered they had none available. We were directed to dig thru the freezer for some frozen ones that we could take home to bake, which wasn't useful when we wanted to eat now. We were made to feel like we were in the way, and they immediately started helping the next customer.
For veggie and vegan pies that ready to go (though no GF as far as I know), try Peaked Pies instead on Denham.

The chicken pot pie was ok but not too special. The salmon pie was a bit disappointed. The iced cuppa was very ordinary. The special thing was the higher price which was not unusual in a tourist attraction. It was very difficult to find a table even on weekdays to enjoy the meal.

DO NOT GO HERE! They want to sell you the salmon chowder bowl but it is bad creamy stuff with a tiny specs of salmon in a flaky thing that breaks to ordinary the moment you touch it. Instead go to the right of it to L'Epicerie and get the Smoked Salmon in Multigrain Croissant for C$11.75 which is FAR BETTER and a fraction of the price! You are on vaction and want to experience the best thing, but the chowder bowl is NOT it, just a way to steal from you.

The Clam Chowder pot pie is sooo worth it!!
Tried the chicken pot pie at A La Mode and it totally hit the spot. The puff pastry baked right on top of the bowl is a genius touch — buttery, crisp, and perfect for scooping up the rich, creamy filling. Overall, a great comfort food experience. My only wish is that it didn’t have bell pepper, which slightly overpowered the more classic flavors. Still, I’d absolutely come back for it again.

Love their pot pies! We always come here for a pot pie everytime we're at Granville Island. Super tasty and filling. There was a long line to order but the lineup moved along pretty fast.
