Noodles aren't cooked evenly, small portions, soup is very average, higher price compared to the competition, I can think of better places for ramen or noodles

A delicious ramen meal at Afuri that offers much more than just soup noodles. They have a large menu of drinks, appetizers and even donburis too!
We tried a good assortment of the dishes and highly recommend their salmon tataki (perfect sear), yuzu ramen (not too salty, light broth but flavourful), poke salmon tacos and the crispy ramen eggs.
The service here is also WONDERFUL being efficient and friendly taking the time to ask when we needed anything and explaining the dishes as they were being given to us.
A delicious meal here at Afuri and I would not hesitate to return!

So so food, nice decor though. But definitely not Japanese. Had a large group there was a high minimum gratuity, we told them we didn’t mind multiple servers serving us separately as the place was completely dead but they forced us to be served together by one server while to rest just chilled in the back- my friend eventually able to negotiate the minimum gratuity rate down as they were empty. I did like the gyozas and the tsukemen

Delicious! Their ramen had slightly different flavor profiles than my husband and I have had before, and it was fantastic! Our server was attentive, quick, and friendly.
We had the crispy pork gyoza 🤤 it might be my favorite deep fried gyoza ever. Then I got the tonkatsu chashu men - which had noticably sweet chashu and super juicy chicken pieces. My husband got the tonkatsu shio which he said was super flavorful and complimented the sweet chashu and mushrooms really well.
We wish we lived closer, and we will definitely be coming back again!

Fantastic food. Yuzu lemonade was also delicious. Service was very good and welcoming. If you're thinking about ramen this is the spot.

The weekday lunch special is a good value for a ramen, appy, and drink.
The portion is on the smaller side for ramen so having drinks and appy was necessary for us to be satisfied. I liked the hazelnut tantanmen as the broth was rich. The ramen was good but not anything outstanding or unique.
They are very good with dietary restrictions as the server showed me the table chart listing major allergens that are in the dishes.

Unfortunately, I can only describe this place as terrible.
When we arrived, the staff were glued to their phones and didn’t even notice us. No smiles, no greeting—just a gesture to sit down. We went at 7 PM, which should be peak dinner time, yet there was only one other table occupied. That alone said a lot.
The ramen lacked depth and flavor—it was bland and honestly not enjoyable at all. There was trash on the floor, and the staff didn’t seem to care. Instead of cleaning or checking on customers, they were chatting in the kitchen.
It’s the kind of place where you feel like leaving a tip would be completely undeserved.

Great find. I ended up here after the place I wanted to go to was closed (probably due to it being a holiday BC Day). What a delightful surprise. I walked in and was seated right away, service was quick. I arrived just in time for happy hour (though the HH prices weren’t much lower), so I ordered 3 items and the grapefruit refresher drink. The food arrived hot and fresh, in a timely manner. Everything was tasty. I will come back to try their ramen.

POV: You came for the ramen, but stayed for the izakaya, drinks… and dessert 🍸🍡🍫
@afuriramen_vancouver isn’t just about the yuzu—this time we visited their Main Street location and went all out:
🥜 Hazelnut Tantan Ramen – creamy, nutty, and perfectly spiced
🍣 Kaisen Chirashi Don – fresh, colourful, and satisfying
🥚 Crispy Ramen Egg – jammy and golden
🔥 Salmon Tataki – lightly torched and so tender
🍖 Tsukune – juicy and glazed, no skewer needed
🌮 Salmon Poke Taco – crispy shell with fresh salmon
🍫 S’more Dessert – torched right at the table, melty and fun
To sip:
🍵 Matcha Fizz – sparkling and earthy
🫐 Blueberry Mint Daiquiri – fruity, minty, and super refreshing

Food was great especially the soft shell crab and ramen . The broth was flavorful without being overwhelming, and the noodles had just the right chew. The restaurant itself was impressively clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The staff were genuinely polite and attentive, making sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Huge kudos to the kitchen team for serving up such high-quality dishes—every detail was clearly crafted with care and pride. The toppings were generous, fresh, and artfully arranged—perfectly soft-boiled eggs, and crisp green onions. By the way, we forgot to took the picture of Takoyaki and the soft shell crab.
