Ah Long Sushi and Ah Long Ramen

I ordered takeout and some of the rolls were pretty good, but one of the sushi rolls had a bad ingredient, it tasted bad and smelled bad. I was already home and it would take me 20 minutes to get back. So I lost my money...

This place has gone badly downhill. The service is terrible now that the kind server has left and dishonest pricing (what is advertised will be much lower than what you’ll see on your bill) combined with truly degraded food compared to the past. I used to come here all the time—it was my local go-to. Now I avoid it, such a shame.

Food was soso. Real California roll had actual ice chunks in it, waitress didn’t care when told about it. No GF soya sauce.

Very disappointed with the food quality October 17. The tofu was undercooked, in both the agadashi and spicy tofu roll, so it was very unpleasant (raw cornstarch flavour and texture). They also did not include an item (prawn tempura). This has been our go to for some time, but this has been a pretty disappointing blow

Had the cha shu ramen today, the worst I have had in Vancouver! It came with 2 small slices of meat only and the flavour is dreadful. Not worth $16. Don’t expect any service from this place, it felt like they didn’t even want customers to walk into their door because they now have to serve you. They put the food and condiments on the table without saying a word.

Had been coming here for years, but I recently discovered their advertised prices on the sidewalk outside are lower than those displayed in their menu, which are in turn lower than the much higher prices that actually wind up on your bill. I mentioned it to them and they shrugged it off. That dishonesty combined with the truly awful server they’ve just hired means I’ll never be back.

This is a volume price value restaurant. I had the Nabeyaki Udon & it was great. Full egg, two tempura shrimp, chicken, zucchini, carrot, spinach, broccoli, & Udon noodles. The broth is not too sweet or too salty - just right. Just like Arni, I'll be back.

Really sweet and friendly staff, food is always tasty and very reasonably priced. This is my go to spot for takeout!

It changed my life

Finally DONE with this place. My fiancé and I have been going here for a few years now, there is one young girl that was very sweet and had great customer service everytime we came in (unfortunately she left). However, there is one skinny guy with glasses that’s really stubborn about serving a customer right.I personally like to use low sodium soy sauce, and this one guy is ALWAYS difficult and particular about letting us use the bottle of low sodium soy sauce. It’s tucked behind the counter with an ample supply for refilling, but he is always very chincey about letting us use it….. however, when the nice girl was working there, she would have it for us ready every time with a smile…. And he plays dumb after seeing us every single time that he doesn’t know we want to use it.There are loads of better sushi places we go to that happily let us use the low sodium soy sauce. He has a little passive aggressive attitude about it. It’s very silly and stubborn. He has this look on his face whenever we ask for it. Really childish.Anyways, we thought we would give him one more chance, and went back today, but he pulled the same maneuver for too many times for our liking.We were good customers, but we are taking our business elsewhere. By the way, don’t try the chicken or the Ika karaage …. It sucks. All cheap batter and not good.I’m a very nice guy and my fiancé is nice as well but he was taking our kindness for weakness and he just lost two good customers. Take care.

I had a delicious moment with my friend at Ah Long Sushi and Ah long Ramen. That’s almost like our headquarter to meet and laugh together. I love this place because it’s tiny, it feels home, and the food is delicious. Their miso soup is thick. That’s the way I like it, and the sushi are always fresh and juicy. Despite that obviously you’ll be welcome with a huge smile and a hot tea. I strongly recommend ah long sushi and ah long ramen, next time I’ll come I’ll try the ramen ? thank you so much ??

This place is such a gem! I got a combo and the food quality, taste and portion sizes are amazing! Such good food and excellent value. I can’t wait to eat here again.

It was the worst service, worst food I've ever experienced in my life. We ordered 2 main dishes and none of them were the one that we ordered. Plus, the worker was so rude to us. I was the one who's supposed to pay only for drinks, i told worker that we'll pay separately for drinks, and she just goes "Drink is for the same price, i'll just split the total price into 2." So i needed to pay half of the total price even though I was gonna pay only for drinks. The worker was just treated us like we were young and looked down on us. i will never go to ah long sushi NEVER agian. WORST SERVICE EVER.

We ordered ramen and combo 11 but we got a rice and combo A. We also asked for the employee to pay separately, but she didn’t do it for us. I was so disappointed of the food, it is really bad.

Amazing ramen! I’ve been twice and try their BOGO ramen. Tastes so good for an affordable price. Very filling. Looking forward to coming back!!
