Allegro coffee is next level and this was one of the most pleasant WFM coffee bar visits i've had and a truly awesome grub experience with some remote flexibility in a comforting and clean space.

They make the best Americano coffees here! Highly recommend trying as you’ll likely enjoy the dark roast & chocolatey undertones. Service is great and usually plenty of seating.

I ordered decaf but it had a lot of caffeine in it unlike any other decaf I’d get from Starbucks or Tim hortons. I’m pregnant so it’s better to avoid, plus Caffeine gives me panic attacks. Needless to say, I had an unforgettable rest of the day…There was almost no pastry on the shelves.

Worker was very unpleasant in the morning. Coffee was decent. They have a $3.50 special with a muffin.

Very convenient location being right above Whole food- Cambie. You dont get a big selection of pastries but you have Whole food on the lower floor. The coffees are ok; the after taste of the oat latte is bitter.

One of the best Cafés in the city is now mostly a break time lounge for whole foods staff. Now they are also suffering from maybe staff issues with super erratic cafe schedule. One time it was closed for 5 days. They changed their schedule to 2pm and now 12noon, and this seem to happen all in a month. I mean other Allegro Cafés don’t have all the issues mentioned above (from an outside customer perspective). Hope they bounce back since its really unfortunate for what was once a thriving cafe with a prime location.

A once fave coffe shop. It appears whole foods is turning into a soulless corporation - they have gutted their Allegro Coffee.-The green hypocrisy- they offer no in house cups, yet they charge a fee “to go cups” (as per city of vancouver and they keep the fee). They do nothing green in this regard and punish customers with a fee that they keep. Yes, you can use your own cup if you carry it around all day.-They have cut seating by 90%, crudely cutting off the old large seating area which remains 90% empty. Just buy a coffee and leave mentality. Less work. Terrible vibe.-they claim they need the space for a staff lounge yet I have NEVER seen more than a few tables used by staff. Hey! Here’s an easy solution - put in a temporary movable professional wall and return 1/2 of the seating back to customers.-they also charge extra now for milk substitutes even though the costs are virtually the same as dairy (they previously did not charge extra pre-pandemic). Also Ignoring the benefit environmentally and health wise for using dairy alternatives.Problem is - the management doesn’t care about customer service OR a green environment. They have no ambition to change back to offering in house cups, to offering more in house seating or to offering more staff service levels. The pandemic restrictions have been reduced for months and they still offer a fast food coffee experience. It’s embarrassing for a once noteworthy chain.

nice atmosphere for a cup of coffee after shopping

coffee and baked staff are good, sitting arrangement is not very comfortable, and there is not much of plug for electronic devices, these characteristics including not very clean tables make this cafe a place for grab and go or just for a quick coffee
