We had the Keema Prata, Burmese Style Biryani & Beef Lemongrass Curry. All of these were incredible tasty, rich in taste, just the right amount of spicy yet surprisingly light. The spices complemented each other and contrasted the meatiness of these dishes. Service was wonderful, very friendly people. The store was decently decorated and very clean. I will certainly be back when I’m in town again.
We shared the Myanmar Tea Leaf Salad which was good, but not great. It was quite tea flavor. I had the Laksa with Chicken only and vermicelli and yellow wheat noodles, it was spicy and tasty. My wife had the Kebat with Chicken, it was minimally spicy and good. Service was good.
Homey little place to try authentic Burmese comfort food alongside other Southeast Asian dishes especially on a rainy Vancouver day. Must try the fish soup, tea salad (ask for steamed rice), prata, and #44 chicken dish. The prata is sooo tender, chewy and flaky. Perfect for the faint hearted who want tasty fusion flavours without the spicy chilli.
