Underwhelmed with the food . I was expecting amazing but it was just ok. Server was very friendly but a little slow and forgot the only drink we ordered.

We always love going to Anh and Chi.
Tonight we had great service from Niko.
He gave us some of the best service we’ve had in Vancouver in a while, it can be hard to come by these days.

Service takes long (sitting in the corner). Small portions of rice for the price (it’s a commodity). Flavours good, and good selection of food.

Tasty Vietnamese dishes, excellent service, warm ambiance. What not to like? Coming from Portugal where diverse cuisine is limited my partner and I were exceedingly thrilled to get a chance to savor the offering.

The food was harmonious and healthy. The plating was exotic, and the staff was friendly and nice. However, a server dropped the salad rolls on the table while serving, and he just picked it up and put it back on the plate. Of course, I thought they would make it again and provide it to us. But they didn't.

Stellar food experience. The service, the atmosphere, the FOOD AND PRESENTATION AND FLAVOURS. Blown away. I’m can’t wait to go again. I licked my plate clean and got take out after dining in.

Highly recommend their:
- Sablefish (small portion for the price, but it’s really good) 9/10
- DIY - so fun to do together! Recommend! 9/10
- chicken fried rice - just okay 6/10
- chicken wings - good 8/10
- three meats - meat was just okay, but worth it 8/10

Wait can be long on weekend nights. We put our name down for a party of 6 and waited around 40 mins

We got on the waitlist at 4:30pm and were told that the wait time was about 45 mins. We waited for 2 whole hours in the cold and rain while watching the hostess (who is apparently the GM) being rude and dismissive to us and others. She insisted that as a large group they can only seat us in one specific table, but even though their policy is that the table is limited to 90 mins, this table wouldn’t budge and they did nothing about it. After 2h they seated us at another table, apparently it was possible after all. We got deserts as compensation, and the food and service once we were seated were excellent, but this didn’t make up for the rudeness and lack of professionalism that led to it.

I loved the food here, so I went here two days in a row(9th Nov and 10th Nov).

On the first day, I went there with my friend, we had a great time there, BUT after that, WE BOTH GOT A STOMACHACHE. I thought something was off, but I didn't think it was because of this restaurant.

The food was good, so the next day, I went back here again with my boyfriend. And WE BOTH STILL HAVE SEVERE STOMACHACHE AND DIARRHEA even a day later right now.

I'm sure there's something wrong with the food here. If it was a one-time experience, I might have thought it was a coincidence, but it's strange that I had the same bad experience even when I visited with someone else. I think it's probably because of the HYGIENE CONDITIONS in the kitchen or the FRESHNESS OF THE INGREDIENTS.

The food is really good, I cannot deny that, but the sad thing is that I don't want to go back there again to eat that food.

This is my family’s second time to Anh and Chi and we loved the delicious Vietnamese food at this modern style restaurant. The signature vermicelli bowl (#26. Bún Thit Nuóng Cha Giò Tôm) is a great sampler with a little bit of everything from the lunch menu. I also liked the refreshing cucumber water beverage that is served at every table, and the artisanal ice cream from the dessert menu is light and refreshing.

Dietary restrictions: The restaurant offers vegetarian options and customers can choose from chicken, beef, or pork for most of their main dishes.

We were disappointed with our take-out experience. We ordered on the spot and were told it would be a 20 minute wait (which is a super fair time, so no problem at all). Paid for the order. They wrote down my phone number.
We waited right outside and it was a fairly cold night. After 35 mins I checked in with the host about the order. He went inside to check and came out with it right away. It seemed like they had forgotten that we were there and there was also no apology for the added wait time. By then it had been almost 40 mins. The food was luke warm at that point, so had clearly been sitting there for a bit.
We were very unhappy with this as they could have either texted or just told us it was ready as we were literally sitting right outside. We got the impression that only dine-in customers matter to them.
