Seemed to have a lot of gluten friendly options and some gluten free. Waitress was really nice and was telling me which options were safe for coeliac. Food was delicious ! Long wait time to get a table (4) even on a Tuesday night
I feel like at Anh and Chi you’re mostly paying for the ambiance and presentation of the food. The space is very nice, bathrooms are great, and the plating of the food is very appealing.
However the food really leaves something to be desired. My spring roll was limp and soggy, not at all crispy. The Vietnamese iced coffee is watered down and not very strong. The chicken was decent but not something worth the price tag.
In Vancouver we are really spoiled with delicious and more affordable Vietnamese food. I personally felt Anh and Chi really wasn’t worth it for the prices they charge. I don’t think I’d come back or recommend this to anyone.
If you’re in Vancouver, go anywhere on Victoria drive. Plenty of Vietnamese restaurants to pick from. Or, on Main Street there are a few closer Vietnamese restaurants to choose from that’ll leave you feeling a little more satisfied!
The banh xeo was especially delicious, and I really enjoyed the greenery-filled atmosphere. The food came out a bit slowly, and since it was quite busy, the service felt a little limited, but the staff were very friendly 😆 so I didn’t mind.
Overall, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the food is tasty and worth trying!
Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food.
Pretty good! Ambiance was nice and food was good. Me personally— i’ll stick to my local vietnamese place for authentic food. Good for a night out though!
Amazing veg options, generous portions and friendly service
Gave me food poisoning and went to the hospital. Terrible overcooked beef
Wow I love this restaurant. Since eating here when they first opened, I’ve been hooked. Street platter is amazing and super fun on a first date, every dish here is delicious and thoughtful and made with love. It’s also my favourite place for a banh mi, easy and quick to-go for lunch. The only thing that could get possibly make that sandwich even better is if you added the crispy bits from the Saigon rolls.
We had a pleasant experience last night. The young lady at the door was very welcoming and hospitable. Even though it was getting late and they were about to close the patio, she kindly accommodated us.
Our server, Ansen, was attentive and professional—checking in on us a couple of times to make sure we were happy with our meal.
I visited this place about five years ago when it had just opened, and I’m happy to say the quality of the food has remained consistent. The crispy spring rolls are still a favorite!
Food is decent, but literally forgot our dish Buncha Hanoi.

Good food and service, but a bit lousy and sometimes not washed properly. Plates can be a bit dirty...
My partner and I had the lemongrass chicken and a stir fry. Overall both dishes were well prepared, filled with fresh ingredients, and tasty. The chicken especially had very large portions for the price. There are a few options if you are GF but not a ton.
Came at 5:30 there was already a line forming... requested seating at the bar since it would be quicker than waiting for a table. Elevated Vietnamese food... everything was delicious
The moment you stepped it was so inviting and staff were really friendly. Very authentic Vietnamese with a modern flair. Finally a Vietnamese place where I don't feel like the auntie in the back is going to hit with a bamboo stick. It's a Vancouver staple and I can see why. Can't wait to come back.
Underwhelmed with the food . I was expecting amazing but it was just ok. Server was very friendly but a little slow and forgot the only drink we ordered.
